Op...sorry for your troubles. Everyone swears by lund however. I'm not tuned by them and will most likely be using a local Tuner once my engine is done but I would be very angry too if I had to shell out $6k to fix an issue that was never broken.

Do update us if this was indeed a lund tuning issue and what eventually solves your problem that way we all know whether it was indeed mechanical or tune related. Best of luck Op. What you went through sucks.

Fuck lund. Same experience as OP. This is my honest review after having two cars tuned by them. If you don’t like it, I don’t care that your feelings got hurt.

Never ever ever go with Lund unless you are 1000% okay with the risk that if their “Custom Tune” doesn’t work the first or second revision then they will go out of their way to blame the customer or customer vehicle. “We will not chase this issue” should be their slogan. And don’t even bring up drivability concerns. “Doesn’t matter what the issue is, it’s always the customers fault” could be another slogan.

they used to be great back in 2015. And I mean great, but since 2019 literally shit. I wish them a very going out of business soon.

get tuned by literally anyone else. Beware indeed

FWIW, that all tracks kinda normally.

Being a remote tuner, they can't easily diagnose all the quirky cars or operators out there, most of their business is (hopefully) smoother. Other remote tuners will also start talking about cutting you off or asking of more money for tune service after a similar number of troubleshooting sessions.

Anyway, find a local guy or gal is my advice. They can iterate a lot faster with the car in hand and rapidly datalog and adjust. Remotely it takes days to do what a local tuner can do in minutes.
Yeah but if you’re going to offer remote tunes you have to be ready to support them.

Complexity is no excuse. I’ve seen some very exotic setups tuned fully remotely with zero issues.

it sounds like they just want to sell canned tunes, which is fine. But if that’s what they want then that’s what they should advertise

Funny thing is....Alex was rambling on his show about raising prices to weed out all the "idiot" customers,

1 week after i dropped them and set a new personal best with juggernaut tune, they ran a sale, and now they are running another sale.........

Lund only cares about you if you're a big name with an audience. Their business model sucks, none of the tuning I've seen from them has been all that impressive and reviews like this are fairly rampant for such a large popular option. I myself am very happy with Luis @ OrtizPerformance and will be going to them for all future updates. Customer service is great and the tunes are on point.

I’ve had nothing but great customer service and great tunes (several boosted). Best of luck with your car.

I know it’s a different trans but my 2015 GT auto was lund tuned. The first tune shifts were very aggressive. They backed off the line pressure and it helped but would still kick in high second gear pretty good. I eventually took the tune off and the trans no longer kicked like that. Lund said it may have been something wrong with the transmission. I laughed it off. Just a thought

Lund was great when it was JUST Lund, once they started to grow the quality and customer service started to drop and they started to rely on just the name.

For me it was a sign of things when they started they were gonna drop tuning older Mustangs. Basically anything that wasn't an easier copy/paste tune was being dropped.
