I have a set of the OEM camber plates that never got installed on my car. I'm about to get this installed but was wondering if there's any reason not to install the OEM camber plates and get some aftermarket camber plates instead?

Seems there's a lot of info on the MM, Steeda, and Vorshlag camber plates but not much on the factory ones. Would rather not spend the extra money if there's no reason to, but if the factory ones are significantly worse than any of the aftermarket options then I'd rather go aftermarket and only do the labor once.

I like to disassemble things.
If you are likely to never need to adjust camber once set and are just looking for additional camber, the factory plates may work well for you (just know that the adjustment window is somewhat limited with them). If you track and are likely to be changing alignment settings fairly frequently, then by all means, go aftermarket such as Vorshlag.

Does this thread help you out? It was one I had put up a while back;
Ford CC Plates (KR3J-3D122-AA) / M-3050-A

and go to Post #3 in the above link which has more info/anther hyperlink.

It's a weekend and track car (maybe 4 track days a year?), so not much daily wear. I was thinking of just setting it at an "aggressive street" or "mild track" setting and leaving it be and hoping it's not too hard on the tires.

I was thinking something like
-1.9 camber and .08 toe in

What warranty would it void. Ford isn’t going to cover tire wear from adjusting for the track any way.
Blown shocks or bushings etc that they might try to blame on the aftermarket part or excessive camber?

What wear tires is toe, not camber
You can get about 3* of negative camber with the Ford plate. Go for 0 toe

Given the above I'd use the factory adjustable plates. You'll only fight with them one time and be done. That's where the Vorshlag plates shine, ease of use. They also have a wider range of adjustment but it sounds like you'll get by just fine with the factory plates as your numbers are mild enough.

Ive used both. I got -25 with the factory plates. I wanted more. I use the Vorschlag and still only get -25 because of the shock tower. I will be fixing that. Aside from that I like that I canset it back to a street alignment at the track.

Dang, -25?!?! I bet that shit looks way crazy! Hard to picture this on a 350, but you do you bro. Probably handles great tho!

Yep. I was going to say the same. If you do not want to mess with the shock tower opening the factory plates give you just as much camber as the expensive Vorshlag ones (around 2.5). OEM ones do not have caster adjustment (but if you exercise that on Vorshlag you lose camber range). MM ones used to change ride height (not sure if they ever fixed that).
