Dan: You make an excellent point, it takes extra care to dry the vehicle without spotting.

However, in my experience, when water sheets off a vehicle, the amount remaining begins to evaporate very quickly and unless you have multiple people with blow dryers available, you can't physically finish drying quickly enough to avoid all sorts of mineral spots, much more so than beaded moisture. Add dryer than average air, (I'm in south Texas and we've never heard of dryer air, <smile>) and it just accelerates the process.

Now, if you rinsed with DISTILLED water, we probably wouldn't be chuckling at this thread. <BIG smile> Hmm..perhaps there is a product in there somewhere..? (yukkity yuk) "The CLEAREST Rinse" by Ronco.

Returning to the original thought..while choosing the section of a larger image to post above, I noticed little black dots in the "beads" and thought, WTF,O?

Zoomed in to a few of them and realized the angular repetition...the darker spots are the "shadows" of the glints "down light or down sun." As much as I am in Photoshop doodling and especially since I saw this thread, I have been looking more closely at "bead shots" and this is the first time I REMEMBER seeing the shadows.

As old Arte Johnson on "Laugh In" was known to say...

"VERRWWWEEE INTAWESTING" :-)

It’s probably fair to say there’s little coating / wax on there now - other than TW ceramic wash :like:

I really like the color blue and that sure is a beautiful hue on yours, D, I just don't think I could purchase a blue vehicle. :-) The older I get, the more the weird oozes out, I swear.

Comin' up on Summer down your way, are you excited? Ours will last another month or so, mow for another two, then hopefully a few months of respite from the weekly and sometimes in the Spring, twice weekly mowing chores.

The color is called 'Eternal Blue'. Not my car though, the boss's. It's their first new car, I talked them out of the dealer installed "paint protection". I did Gyeon Can Coat on the exterior, Colour Lock Leather Shield on the interior.

Although not completely my favorite shade of blue, the color certainly has some character to the metallic when in the sun.

Blue and Red are my favorite colors. Save for two white pickups, all my other cars have been red, with the exception of my 'Sensation' Blue Falcon..............................

Confession - I HATE SUMMER!

Spring and Autumn are my favorites, just either side of the extremes of winter and summer. I especially hate the heat, which reaches as high as 45 C / 113 F where I live, I can deal with the cold, not the heat.

Why thank you kind Sir, I'm assuming you are referring to the Falcon. I therefore grant you more of my ''Blue Rocket''................ 😁

The car was made in May 2008 and only has about 32,000 km / 19,880 miles on the clock. At the time I was 21 and it was my first new car, factory ordered to what I wanted. It has the 4.0 Inline-6 with 208 kw / 279 hp and 420 Nm / 309 ft lbs, 6 speed ZF automatic and rear wheel drive. She can light up the rears with ease. :giggle:

And so we don't go completely off track, here it is with a couple of Mustang's..................

My lucky day! Seems like a better Taurus all round. By the way, I recently met a guy from Tasmania with the only 69 cougar in the state.

Ooooh, the Taurus, an interesting story in Australia.

Back in the mid 1990's, Ford Australia were in the process of designed and engineering a next generation Falcon. Problem was, Ford head office in the US wanted the local team to scrap everything and assemble the Taurus instead. The problem with that proposal was that the Taurus was not wide enough, was front wheel drive and would not have the tow capability that the Falcon was renowned for. Ford USA pushed the idea based on reducing development costs....................I mean, Ford would never do that!

However, the Australian team made a proposal for a next gen Falcon that could be brought to market for half the price it would building a Taurus in the Australian factories. The US guys cracked the shits, forced Ford Australia to sell imported Taurus's to see how they were accepted.

The result? They only sold a handful, the front wheel drive factor, a low torque engine, low towing ability, the high retail prices and, of course, the absolutely hideous styling meant Taurus failed miserably. And failed exactly as the local Aussie Ford management knew it would. The real result of that was another three generations of Falcon. :like:

God those are ugly, best thing I can say about them is they are comfortable. Seems like most modern cars are not built to last anyway.
