Understood! And good to hear. I'll be tackling the shutters myself, once I get all the bits and bobs to swap the belly pan and splitter for the performance pack parts.You are correct, sir. I removed the motor from the shutter housing, connected it to the wiring harness and zip-tied it to the crash bar. Seems to have worked because all code codes are clean.
I considered some "forscan magic" but I think you would end up wanting to plug that connector on the harness anyway to protect it from the elements. Not sure where to order a "delete connector" for the harness connection... so the zip-tie method seemed to be the simplest solution.
In lieu of a delete connector, perhaps you could use liquid rubber or similar to protect the connector. Wrap it in tape that can sustain any residual engine heat to preserve the actual connector head, then dip the whole end of the cable to seal it. Or, inverse that but do it to the connector that was on the shutter-side, if you won't be reinstalling them yourself? DIY cap.
