Got my Roush coil covers installed this morning and cleaned the engine bay..hoping for good weather tomorrow for the North Coast Mustang and Ford show! FYI---if anyone is looking for a set of the covers, there is a seller on Amazon with them about 1/2 price. I had originally purchased a set back in March when I had the Roush Phase 2 installed, then I installed my catch cans and it looked like they would not fit, so I sent them back...flash forward to summer time and I realized I could easily move the catch can out of the way (funny how that works when you are more motivated to look at things when its 80 and sunny vs 30 and snowy)...then I found them on sale and figured it was a sign I needed them.

Also arranged to find an installer for the Blackvue 900X-2CH PLUS that should arrive tomorrow.
Seems like a waste of money imo. It's an incredibly easy install and I'm not sure mechanically inclined.

What did I do today? Remember how I washed her yesterday? Today I installed my faux hood pins to complete the look.... until someone installs the real ones successfully and then shows us all how.

I also took her to the spot I was at last weekend after getting her from the shop and took some more pictures to see if she sparkled after washing her by hand.

You will notice this week NO FINGER PRINTS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW!!!! My gilrfriend was with her kids this weekend LOL

Spent about three hours with the clay mitt and clay bar removing all the crud that really seems to build up quick on the back bumper cover. It’s nice to get back to the ‘as new’ look in all the corners :

There seemed to be a lot or iron, are these cars suspetible to catching that around the back ? Maybe the standard Brembo’s chuck out a load of crap and the aero around the back just seems to collect It (highlighted by the light colour) ?

You have no idea. I went for a quick spin to the store to pick up some CarPro RESET yesterday and I came back off the highway with what felt like 9 quarts of someone else oil spray all over the back bumper cover. The aerodynamics of the car are such that crud just seems to get sucked to the back of the car faster than a virgin on prom night.

Yes, It's the vortex created by the car as you drive it, so whatever may be liquid or loose (dust, dirt, etc.) on the road will take up residence on the bumper or even part of the trunk lid.

Looks awesome! While your at it, grab some hood struts. You'll thank me later.

I see you said you use a clay mitt. You're one of the few on here that I have seen that have said that. I have a couple of different ones and really enjoy using them. It makes claying so much easier and quicker, and I use it all the time to remove anything that I feel on the paint. So much nicer than dealing with sticky clay and your hand goes in the mitt for easy control. It's all I use now other than for doing the rims.

Love the '69 Mach 1. I feel that year body style really resembles the S550. Looks great even today.
Had a friend that had a 70 Mach 1. He bought it new he got on hard times and sold it while I was in Iraq! I wanted that car soooo bad! Told him I would of paid a good price as well as let him buy it back when he got back on his feet! Just wasn’t meant to be! Had an 04 Mach 1 he loved it! It always put a smile on his face!
