Took the track car to a small but high end cars n coffee type thing. I was kind of surprised my car got so much attention given the surroundings.

Yes. What don't you like about them?

I've only had mine a few days. They are quiet and smooth, but any new tire is like that. They are way better in the wet than the worn OE Pirellis I had, but again... new tires.. duh.

I dunno. My car is 95% all-weather commuter, and 5% Grand Tourer. Seemed like a good choice.

"Single-Use" is a bit of an exaggeration. On last rotation, the tire guys complained that some of the lug nuts were "swollen". I think the OE nuts have a cover or something like that. Anyway, this time they offered to replace them for 40 bux. I said "Let me see them". They were solid and looked nice so I said "do it".
I will be getting the DWS when the Pirelli's wear out. I have ran them on several cars albiet smaller sizes and they fit my driving style just fine. I just take it easy most of the time and letter rip once in a while. Quiet and all weather performance is more important than ultimate grip to me. As for the "One time use" lugs, I do agree with that. I have dealt with the 2 piece crappy lugs on my F150 and solid 1 piece lugs are a must. I got the Black gorilla lugs to match my PP wheels and they work fantastic...

Getting ready to change the oil in the 20. My 1st time doing this. The 2 year free maintenance period is up. What do I need to expect besides a lot of ol? Already got 10qts of oil and filter and 16qt drain pan.
I second the comment above. Just be prepared for a LARGE stream of oil, it comes out fast, like dumps all 10 quarts in a few seconds fast. I always have a spare plug handy just in case the tabs or O-ring gets damaged. Nothing worse than not having a functional drain plug to put back in the car.

Have not done the filter on this one yet but it looks straightforward, I changed the oil in my 5.0 in my F150 over 20 times, at least it was easier to reach stuff since it was a 4x4.

DId my next few mods over the last couple of days. Rear tail light panel, Ford Performance with the RTR logo. Not sure about the logo but it's growing on me. Complements the Black pony badge up front and the black 5.0 badges.

Installed the Roush hood strut kit today. Very worthwhile upgrade. Car should have come this way from the factory.

Totally agree. Prop rods are ridiculous on anything past 1990 lol. Especially considering the cost of these cars.

Now that I think about it my ‘88 300ZX had hood struts too!

Did you have the Ford Performance 2 package?, if so I would be interested to know more about what you have done to your car?

On Friday had the recall done, PCM software update.
Today I installed the Diode Dynamics sequential turn signals/foglights. Got them on sale for the 4th of July.

How hard was it to remove the bumper, I'm still half on the fence about swapping my pony grille badge for the black one I bought but i don't want to destroy it to remove it in case I change my mind lol.

Unless you can get these style of clips off :

You stand a chance of loosing the pins, but the badge front / aesthetics will stay intact :like:
