My biggest gripe when it comes to the Bullitt and Mach 1 engines is that there isn’t any difference in performance outside of dyno numbers. I figured the slight gear ratio upgrade in the TR-3160 would give it an edge over the MT82D4 but nope. The 10R80 cars are right on par with the GT too.

The GT350 intake and CAI make the engine look so much better but that’s about it. Neither provide any useable power differences within the same operational RPM of a GT. At bare minimum they should’ve got a little RPM bump or a set of FP 4.09 gears out back.
by all accounts they drive completely different. Maybe on paper that is not evident. The M1 with HP is called the best track ready Coyote car ever by some pretty decent car folks.

03-04 Mach1 had the 1999/2001 Cobra engine (as you said, not forged), but still a massive upgrade over the 2v.
01 cobra bottom end with 03-04 heads and cams, and a better revision of the 01 Manifold.

If Ford had used the 96-98 cams, and 2000 R Pulleys as stock on the mach1 it would have been closer to a 330HP engine, and due to the weight difference a good driver would have been almost as quick as the 03 Cobra in the 1/4 mile. People were already damn close to stock terminator times with just tires and a 4.10.

We’re talking engine differences and straight line performance though. With that being said my last car was a 2018 GT PP2 so nothing about the Mach 1 HP leaves me stunned.

Right. Im not trying to convince anyone. The M1 is a track S550 and a darn good one.

The power differences make about as much of a performance difference as expected. 20hp/460hp. C&D got a trap speed average over 4 tests of 18+ GTs of 114.3, and in three tests of the Bullitt/M1 engine they got 115 each time. All M6s. So there is a difference but it’s v small and prob impossible to feel.

Actually the GT is 450 hp and Mach 1 is 470 hp

He is using 2018-2021 numbers, as I haven't seen any 2022 being tested yet. That is when this will get interested.

V8 is just two detuned Ecoboost in V formation haha
Ford should make a twin turbo Coyote V8. At 600-650 hp -They could even call it eco-boost for all I care.

But they also got the same results in a PP2.

Way back the GT500 was rumored to be TT. The supercharged engine is great and all (other than everybody does it), but that engine with TT and the DCT would have been truly amazing.

Would be a nice middle ground between the base GT and the GT500

The 3.5TT is a peach. It just needs to be able to breath better and carry the power into 7200RPM or so.

Nope. PP2 hit 114, 2 Bullitts and a M1 hit 115. Prob within error but the other 3 M6 GTs hit 115, 114 and 114. The 4% hp boost is about right for ~1 mph.

I seem to have to say this all the time, but Ford wasn’t cheating their customers with the B/M1 engine upgrade. It really does make more power.
