Tried to install some extended wheel studs, IRS bushing supports, dowels, and bracing. Ran into just about every problem you can think of.

1) After multiple moves, and years of not needing to work on a car, I was missing a lot of the tools I needed. 3 trips to the hardware store today.
2) Lug nuts were over torqued to hell and back. Somewhere around 400 lb/ft if I had to guess.
3)Rear lower bushing supports do not fit at all. I know they can put up a fight, but these just refused to go in. Can't even get them started.
4)Subframe is way out of whack, and I'm having one hell of a time getting it to move so I can get these bolts back in properly.
5)Front brake caliper bolts feel over torqued and were being a gigantic pain in my ass. One was harder for my impact gun to get loose than the rear subframe bolts.

Now I have to try and get all this shit done and my car back together so I can get an alignment before my first event of the year on march 6th.
I understand your pain. But trust me in a few weeks you will look back and know it was done right and you know how to do it.

Thanks for the good mojo. It was just one thing after another today. I got things to a good stopping point, made myself a vodka tonic, and plan to pick this up again another day.

Took mine out for a quick rip this morning, and then gave her a bath and finished her off with a detail spray. From the looks of the weather she's going back into hibernation for a few weeks.

Attended 'Another Sunday morning Cruise Las Vegas', every Sunday 6:30-9:30 am always around 100 - 150 cars from every era and style.
You Tube - Rodder Files, My GT/CS is shown @ the 32:35 and at 56:25 when I'm leaving the show.
Several '65s, '66s, 70Boss, 2013 Boss, bunch of Fox bodies, S550s.
When it warms up 250 cars show up, and always something new that has never been to this show.
Rodder Files also does a Sat. morning show on the other side of town. More Exotics, always 200+ cars.

Kenny does a great job with his You Tube show.

I made a mistake and drove down into a deeply packed snowy parking lot. After 24 hours of futility, I had to get some help. In the excitement, I forgot to take any pictures of the truck blasting it's way out. All's well that ends well.
