Depends how you drove it for the last tank, when driving around town and getting into it your mpg is low. Go drive on interstate and it will go up.

  3. Thoughts on the state of this 5yo zero mile tire?

This one has aged and dried out. Tires are self lubricating but they need to be used for that to happen. Check out the RV industry and the one of the biggest problems from lack of use.
  4. Video … drag race GT350R vs Dark Horse vs Mach 1

A lot to the advantage to the Z28 was that it had better brakes, from a couple of track comparisons I have seen.
  5. Tire life - years vs miles

I would definitely replace them, lack of use on tires is a killer as they tend to dry out. Tires are self lubricating, but they need to be used to self lubricate. A old tire with few miles on it is a ticking time bomb.

  9. Need Help

I can't really help with your decision, but I went from a 2020 GT with PP1, magneride and Active exhaust. To the 2013 Boss I have now. For a Sunday drive the Boss wins out big time. It is so much more enjoyable with the rawness of it. The handling and tighter gearing.
  10. Need Help

Unless you plan on competitive racing with the car, the MT-82 in the Boss is fine. There are a lot of easy and reasonable upgrades to enhance the Mt-82. Mine is stock and while a little notchy it is totally useable and has not missed a shift yet. A fluid upgrade to BG fluids in the tranny can...

  13. Oil Overfill Concern After Recent Oil Change – Seeking Advice

Ok so the Dipstick from Ford is incorrect, but the high school dropout doing the oil change did it perfectly. I think I will trust the manufacturing more the kid doing the oil change. Just like the idiot at the dealership who put the filter on the Boss 302 who put it on so tight I had to go...
  14. Oil Overfill Concern After Recent Oil Change – Seeking Advice

You are right about the S550, I was thinking of my Boss and my daily driver which is a 100. As to too much oil in the engine, wonder how warranty would act if the engine let go and you bring it back with too much oil, now it gives them an excuse to try and get out of it. I am just saying that...
  15. Oil Overfill Concern After Recent Oil Change – Seeking Advice

But try and get them to do that if they added too much oil and it happened 2,ooo miles after the change. We pay for them to do it right, and they are not doing that great of a job. Same when they rotate tires. They usually come back way over torqued. I had to use a 2 breaker bar to barely get...
  16. Oil Overfill Concern After Recent Oil Change – Seeking Advice

I wouldn't feel silly, cause this is getting to be all too common these days. It is not that hard for them to get it right. They just don;t care anymore. Quite often it means that they didn't allow the old oil to drain long enough.
  17. Oil Overfill Concern After Recent Oil Change – Seeking Advice

I would take it back and have them adjust the level. It is getting to be to common of a mistake, That's why I have started to do my own again, tired of poor jobs and lack of caring by the guys doing the job
  18. Can't order a Dark Horse?

My local dealer has 1 Gt Premium in stock to sell and 3 Dark Horses, While he has no added dealer markups on the Dark Horse's they just aren't selling,
  19. Thoughts on my potential purchase 2013 Boss or 2018 Gt

Were they all tested on the same day under the same conditions. There are a lot of variables that would make a huge difference. My 2020 Gt came with Michelin PS4's, which were night and day better than the 2022 Perilli P-Zero's
  20. 2013 Boss 302 vs 2019 GT Performance Package Level 1

The 2020 PP1 had 6 piston Brembo fronts with a larger disc. The rear If I remember right was 4 piston, with a larger rotor. These definitely were better than the Boss's Brembo 4 Piston front, smaller rotor and the stock rear single Piston brakes. Yes the upgrade would not be that difficult...
