Drove to the high school parking lot. Spent time carving doughnuts in the snow. Been along time since I've been able to do so. Like 50 some years.

I remember my brother and I doing this about 35+ years ago.... Insanely fun!
I could do it every year in the WalMart parking lot, but I don't think the security guy approves of it.

That was more ice than snow. We see snow every 3-5 years and it's usually gone by noon. Temperatures in the teens is unheard of.

You're getting colder weather right now than we are in Central Oregon at 4300 feet! Weird winter.

First you're blastin' around snow covered parking lots, now you're talking about pan fried trout and taters. Sounds good.
For a lot of years I used to camp and flyfish up in the mountains of south-central Oregon. I usually kept a couple of fresh trout and cooked them with bacon in a cast iron skillet over the evening campfire. Washed down with a glass of whiskey...
Those were some good times.
Thanks for bringing those memories back.
