Not if we are talking about drag strip times...like he wasThat car is missing a pedal
I understand the money part, and agree the Mustang is a good value. But you're not spending $7K plus the cost of the above car, and doing tens. Also, while it's certainly reliable, it's not "well-appointed" at all.Money$$. Brand new well appointed car. Right @ $40 grand with a blower/couple other mods to hit mid 10's very easily (on pump 93 gas, no less), while maintaining near stock reliability.

Not with today's mindset regarding feature content, I suppose.... , it's not "well-appointed" at all.
Topic was drag racing..........That car is missing a pedal
Actually the topic was the 7.3 truck engine that no one in their right mind would put into a S550. But that was 3626 posts ago so who the hell remembers, or cares.Topic was drag racing..........
An interesting point. Not with today's mindset regarding feature content, I suppose.

Well, make it $42K then. Still a smokin deal for a new car that runs 10's, has most needed creature comforts, and will be damn reliable. .I understand the money part, and agree the Mustang is a good value. But you're not spending $7K plus the cost of the above car, and doing tens.
Well, I didn't change the topic, just continued the spam on it Happens in almost every thread.Actually the topic was the 7.3 truck engine that no one in their right mind would put into a S550. But that was 3626 posts ago so who the hell remembers, or cares.

Methinks you're quite handy turning wrenches!!!!Well, make it $42K then. Still a smokin deal for a new car that runs 10's, has most needed creature comforts, and will be damn reliable. .
Here is my car costs. That new car is about 3 grand more than my 14 was.
My car is probably about 100 lbs lighter than new one's, but new one's can take way more boost (power) than gen 1's.
14 GT (auto as only option)-------- $27, 529
305/35-18 MT STREET S/S DR--$629.90
AMR -18X10 and 18X8 RIMS ---$559.96 (used stock 235's up front)
UPR X-pipe------------------------$259.46
Roush Stg 3 TVS------------------$6199.99
SCT tuner and VMP tune---------$712.64
Octane boost----------------------$59.98
Roush upper control arm---------$253.95
Roush alum lower control arms---$200.00
Lightweight battery/terminals-----$120.25
Total---------------------------------$8996.13
Free stuff-------
Removed spare/jack/trunk carpet
Homemade rear seat delete (cardboard and some black fabric)
Removed mats
Total--------------------------------- $36.525.13
Thanks!!Methinks you're quite handy turning wrenches!!!!
Nice build.
Of course, if you don't wrench, will have to compare closer to factory offerings.Indeed. If a shop is going to install everything above, double the numbers above (minus the vehicle cost). While installing a screw style supercharger isn't rocket science, if you aren't careful, there's a lot of things that could go wrong. Nice work on installing all that yourself.
and this is why someone will do the swap. with these types of numbers, I could really see this replacing the 460 in many engine swap applications.1100 hp and 1036+ lb ft on a stock engine (upgraded injectors) and 15psi. Not too shabby.
