Is it just me or would a taller sidewall do the same thing and look better? Also no change in suspension geometry.

Looking better would be subjective...you risk a “truck tire” look. But yes, you can increase sidewall to close fender gap. Be mindful that you’re raising the entire car’s center-of-gravity and likely increasing unsprung weight in doing so.

I have the Steeda Minimum Drop Springs with FP track shock/strut kit. I really like it and have no issues. I run square 255/40/19 AS tires though with ET 35 19x9 (Stock Engine)

I wanted to do the BMR minimum drop springs, but didn't want to have to change several pieces out on a 4k mile car just yet. Bought a set of the SVE springs (which are basically unbranded eibach sportlines), and tossed them under my car for the time being. Rides excellent, not much changed from factory outside of if you hit dips in the interstate, it's a little more jarring, but aside from that, good to go. If I ever end up with boost, they will have to be switched out, as it is very low, but looks great.

Less bouncy, sure might feel road grooves/bumps more but the car stays planted and level as it goes over those groves or bumps, not floaty like base GT stock did. I do not feel a harsh ride, just a sporty type, maybe would feel more harsh if higher spring rate and thicker sway bars perhaps?

I grew up with Chevelles, Road runners ECT.....

Anyway I haven't really taken to the rubberband tire look. Also a taller sidewall rides better and hooks better.

I actually already had the BMR cradle lockout kit on with base suspension, this was the difference after suspension change.

Well I installed the J&M min drop springs today and am not happy. The listing for them says "average drop 0.5 inches", but my front dropped 7/8" and rear 3/8". I think the front looks too low now, and am concerned about possibly having rubbing issues with the tires. Emailed them asking for advice on their website contact form. Wonder if I can just stack 3/8” of washers over each of the 3 studs under the mounting surface to raise the car up? Here are before and after pics...

I got the J&M springs and the shop that installed them didn't have any problems with them.
Did you measure before and after to see exactly how much front and rear drop you got?
