Like mentioned above the minimal drop steeda rear is not 750. It is the same spring from their drag kit and rated 800 with same .5"drop. They are the same part number. I ordered drag spring rears in addition to minimal drop springs and opened the boxes to see the same part numbers. I emailed steeda and they confirmed. They need to update the specs and I let them know I wasn't happy about it.

I’m glad spring rate finally made it into this discussion:

Steeda Min Drops: 200/750
BMR Min Drops: 170/740
GT: 160/668
GT PP: 165/728

I’d personally select 200/750–the nose of this car can take a lot of rate and really spices-up the handling. But if drop is your primary criteria, the BMRs do have better rake.
J&M min drops: 210/815. If Steeda's site had listed theirs at 200/800 I'd may have ordered them instead of the J&M's.

I went with the Steeda Min Drops and I've been very happy with them. I don't think you can go wrong either way, but I already had a bunch of Steeda stuff on the car, figured I would stick with them.

They should correct that in their site and marketing materials (spring chart table). 0.5" drop w/ 200/800 is a very good setup for the vast majority.
Yeah, I would have felt more comfortable buying from Steeda than from a relatively unknown source.

J&M makes great stuff. Rest easy. Every part of theirs I've used has been very high quality.
Cool. I'll post a scouting report on the install and results. Waiting to receive them before buying a spring compressor so I can measure the coil diameter first...have been burned in the past with compressors that are too small for the spring diameter.

I got the J&M springs and the shop that installed them didn't have any problems with them.

The rear diameter is larger on the PP1 and doesn't need as much drop in the back as it does the front. Go measure it. You will see. I am leaning towards going with the BMR SP763 just for that balanced look on my PP1. But I also like the Steeda progressives for daily comfort with a softer initial spring rate and the firmer spring rate when you get on it. I just don't like the 1" drop in the rear and from what I have learned about suspension, the less drop the better. So unless Steeda comes out with a progressive spring drop of .5" rear 1" front, I will likely go with the BMR SP763.

The Steeda minimal drop springs are linear .5" all 4 corners.

thanks for your input on them. I just changed the rear dampers on my PP1 to Ford Perf Track versions and I really like how the car firmed up. Not harsh and not bouncy. Linear springs with a slightly higher rate over factory and a little lower are going to be perfect for me. I think the decision is made. SP763 it is.
Hey Stang, you just changed the rear shocks? I agree the rear seems to be unsettled on dips.

Yes and it was quite the nice upgrade (and easy) I have to say. The OEM PP1 shocks totally upset the suspension balance from front to back. One member described the action as "porpoiseing" (how a dolphin swims). The OEM PP1 struts are actually really good and work well with the FP Track shocks. I would consider doing just the shocks if you want to upgrade on a budget.

Thanks. I have considered these too now but I think they are going to ride firmer (harsher maybe?) than stock. On the plus side they would provide less rake on a staggered setup than the BMR SP763 as the front won't sit as low. Depends what you want. It's great to have options.

Spring rates F/R - Drop:
OEM PP1: 165/728
BMR SP763: 170/740 - 0.875"/0.5"
Seeda Min Drop #555 8223: 200/800 - 0.5"/0.5"

I did the Steeda 1 inch drop progressive springs on my non PP '18 GT Vert, and I'm extremely happy with the result. The only thing I'd do different is add the spring spacers to get better rake in the back. May be a convertible specific thing because of the bracing and weight back there. I also did the active Steeda struts/shocks while I was at it, figuring while the car was apart, why not one and done. Regardless, don't live with your stock non PP suspension one minute longer than you have to. The improvement possible over stock is amazing.

You can also consider J&M Products min drop: 210/815 - 0.5" / 0.5". I'm about to install them on my car with the rear Steeda pro action shocks.
