Too bad you didn't get the Performance Package when you bought the car. IIRC in 2016 it was $2495 MSRP. You would have had enough to buy the Power Package 2 as well.

If this is the only money you saved this year then put it into a Roth. If not then suspension parts would be my advice.

I'll throw in my 2 cents.

The Ford Racing Track Handling Package.

I have it on mine and think it's great.

Definitely firms up the ride.

I'm surprised at the WIDE array of answers.

I thought I'd see more of this:

Intake
Tune
Cat-back
Shifter
..Then suspension

That's what I did. Completely changed my ride from the factory vibe.

"Bro, how giant of a wing can I get for $3000?"

Suspension, tires and a tune and it'll feel like a much better car all around.

Take the three grand and put it in a strong box or low/no fee bank account and forget about it. When shit happens later (and it always happens) you will remember this money you stashed away - then come back to this thread and thank me later.
This. Of if you have not maxed out your IRA contribution for 2017 yet ($5500, unless you are over 50, which I assume you are not), you have until April. If you have maxed your IRA contribution, and you still have $5-6000 burning a hole in your pocket, spend half of it.

you took a year to save 3k, IMO you should use this money to invest in yourself so you can make more money. That way in the near future you will be able to buy anything you want.

i kind of agree with this. it's always better to save more for a rainy day. I try to keep 50% of a year's salary in savings for a surprise layoff fund haha.

but if you want to spend it on the car (i mean...who here doesn't lol) i'd do this:

200 - BMR SP080 springs, they pair really nice with stock shocks
500 - VMP tune / X4 bundle deal ( i prefer AED myself, but you'd have to buy a used tuner to get the same price, which i did no problems. OR Ford PP2
350 - Steeda Stop the hop starter kit - I've had this and the BMR CB005 About equally effective, but the Steeda kit did not induce any noises or harshness, where my CB005 did.

i'd use the rest for lightweight wheels and some nice summer tires. They'll increase the performance MUCH more than anything else will over the stock skinny all seasons on non PP models.

Intake - mostly a waste of money

I think the consensus is tune, wheels/tires, & suspension.

Steeda clutch spring for $35 helps out the clutch feel quite a bit and is a lot easier than some of the other shifter mods.
