Yea......the vvt is not needed by any means.
As for electronics........there are now several that will run it.
Aftermarket jumped all over the 7.3 just as a few of us said they would.
Electronics are already solved.......actually cheaper than the Coyote.
1,000 hp Coyotes are far more costly unless you want a ticking time bomb with multiple fuses all lit at the same time.
The 7.3 has started a challenge within a few aftermarket builders.......
Who can be the first to make...
Looks like Ford agreed with me.......Even the exhaust manifolds fit.
You must upgrade the Coyote far too much just in the sense of durability.
Add a blower and related components and boom you're at the same weight
as the 7.3
I keep hearing hints about a alloy block or blocks by the way.......
Not a big block.....don't let the displacement fool ya.
Very large small block or small medium block.
Bore spacing is only 4.53 inches.
That engine in truck form with a 93 octane tune does make over 500hp.
They need a alloy block.
As for less power.......remember that the tune / cam / intake / compression was developed for Heavy Duty Trucks.
Just changing the tune puts you well above 500hp.
This engine makes power where the Coyote doesn't and makes it where the Coyote does.
Ford is working on a swap kit that puts the 7.3 in the S550......this also includes a new intake manifold.
Revan Evan has the video up with a Ford Engineer doing the talking.
There is also a test drive.
So much for all those who said it will not fit.
All this engine needs is a alloy block.
EMC absolutely hates anything Ford.
Their famous competition that gave them the name was dominated by Ford Engines.
You'll hardly ever find anything Ford and when you do the engine will be represented very poorly.
The engine tick / rattle plus oil consumption is why the Godzilla platform is being considered.
Paint issues happen with all brands.
Horrible customer service has no excuse.
Door lock is a software issue, I literally did a redneck reboot on my Escape
to fix a similar problem. Dealer was of no...
