  1. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

Yea......the vvt is not needed by any means. As for electronics........there are now several that will run it. Aftermarket jumped all over the 7.3 just as a few of us said they would.
  2. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

    Wanting to do a S197 ......maybe a '05 model.
  3. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

Electronics are already solved.......actually cheaper than the Coyote. 1,000 hp Coyotes are far more costly unless you want a ticking time bomb with multiple fuses all lit at the same time. The 7.3 has started a challenge within a few aftermarket builders....... Who can be the first to make...
  4. 7.3 GT350 Revealed (With Video)

7.3 all day anyday. Alloy block of course. Any variant of the old mod motor always seems to have far too many issues.

  6. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

I've noticed that the naysayers have not come back to this thread.........?
  7. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

Looks like Ford agreed with me.......Even the exhaust manifolds fit. You must upgrade the Coyote far too much just in the sense of durability. Add a blower and related components and boom you're at the same weight as the 7.3 I keep hearing hints about a alloy block or blocks by the way.......
  8. 7.3 GT350 Revealed (With Video)

Not a big block.....don't let the displacement fool ya. Very large small block or small medium block. Bore spacing is only 4.53 inches. That engine in truck form with a 93 octane tune does make over 500hp.
  9. 7.3 GT350 Revealed (With Video)

They need a alloy block. As for less power.......remember that the tune / cam / intake / compression was developed for Heavy Duty Trucks. Just changing the tune puts you well above 500hp. This engine makes power where the Coyote doesn't and makes it where the Coyote does.
  10. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

Ford is working on a swap kit that puts the 7.3 in the S550......this also includes a new intake manifold. Revan Evan has the video up with a Ford Engineer doing the talking. There is also a test drive. So much for all those who said it will not fit. All this engine needs is a alloy block.
  11. Engine Masters type programs for Ford

Low tension ring packages generally need a smog pump for crank case ventilation. Stay away from timing gears........use a belt instead.
  12. Engine Masters type programs for Ford

EMC absolutely hates anything Ford. Their famous competition that gave them the name was dominated by Ford Engines. You'll hardly ever find anything Ford and when you do the engine will be represented very poorly.
  13. Just some pics of a VooDoo engine block - GR3Z-6010-F

5.2 Voodoo block Voodoo heads GT 500 spec cams 5.0 crank Cobra Jet Intake Perfect for any S550.
  14. Just some pics of a Predator engine block - KR3Z-6010-A

From what I found out this time last year is that the Bear block is prefered. The GT 500 block can be built to be competitive.
  15. Just some pics of a Predator engine block - KR3Z-6010-A

GT 500 block is much stronger. Approved for NHRA usage (Cobra Jet). Voodoo is not approved as of the last time I checked.
  16. Goodbye to Ford...2018 Mustang Gt ownership

The engine tick / rattle plus oil consumption is why the Godzilla platform is being considered. Paint issues happen with all brands. Horrible customer service has no excuse. Door lock is a software issue, I literally did a redneck reboot on my Escape to fix a similar problem. Dealer was of no...
  17. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

Installing the 7.3 into a Ecoboost Stang would surely add value to that car.
  18. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

I understand what you're saying, but there is talk about the possibility. This engine was designed with other intentions in mind.
