Lidar will pick you off immediately so there is no warning. Some people in areas with Poliscans that fire constantly can get some scatter but usually a Lidar alert means you've already had your speed acquired.Are they useful with laser guns still? I seem to recall reading that by the time you get notified they've already got your speed.
Can they pick up laser bouncing off other cars at all?
For Lidar protection you have to go active, and Anti Laser Priority is the best in the business right now. But now you're up into serious money so you have to weigh your true risk relative to your driving style.
I've got a Valentine one (K, Ka) and a Redline on the left (Ka only) but the free app Waze is far and away my best defense.
