Correct, but it won't warn you of them on your route if I'm not mistaken. I don't keep the app open when driving and just wait for the audio to interrupt and warn about upcoming police.

Mine warns me of road hazards from debris in the road to car on side of road.. oh and cop ahead. Always have mine on and always get alert on the route I'm on. Usually alerts a mile out from the cop or issue. Just wish it told you about moving cops lol

I'll have to play with it; I've been in the habit of entering a destination for so long I haven't tried it without in over a year.

I just wish there was some more granularity to disable hazards like cars on the shoulder...

Radar yes.

Lidar No. By the time it reacts and you react the lidar is already locked.

Not exactly true. You can detect the lidar/laser being targeted at the car in front of you, and react accordingly. If your detector can't do this, upgrade.

I've I have been wanting a mirror mount and hardwire for my Escort 9500ix. I found this on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/PerformancePa...2-fkmr2&keywords=9500ix+hardwire+mirror+mount for substantially less than the Blendmount. It seems to work just fine so thought I'd share. I have no affiliation with this company. The only drawback is there are no instructions and the connecting wire ends are pretty long. I might snip them so there's less/no bare wire showing but it works so I might just leave :-). Purely FYI.

I also bought this one from amazon. I think the mount is pretty sold, definitely should be considered over the more expensive Blendmount. The mirror power tab that comes with it isn't the best. I wasn't able to fit the pins into the mirror, they were way too large. Some people have reported success like you, but others have had to resort to shaving the pins down or purchasing a smaller power tap. Seems like they could be sending different sizes out randomly.

Did you have to specify anything for the Mustang's?

For those talking about the Waze app, it certainly works well most of the time.

For example, the reports on Florida Highway Patrol cars sitting on I-75 are pretty accurate and current when i pass a trap enforcement zone. However, I have run across situations multiple times were there are FHP officers sitting in view in the center median or on the side with laser in there hands or Radar on (My Valentine One picking the Ka radar up from a distance) and there is no indication on Waze about them.

It nice to have both a radar detector and Waze both working together cover your back. ;)
