Amen activeGT !
I traded my 05 V-6 with 100k miles for this, and a GT350 would be amazing, but we all know our own budget.
I have 4,200 miles after a year, and when she wasn't being driven, she was in the garage! SO happy I have a garage now!!! :ford:
Yes and No, Just sold my 15 Base PP w/ Recaros. It was a great car but im going to wait until the end of the year and see if there is a refresh for the 17 model year.
I'm fairly new, only 3 weeks in but so far I have absolutely no buyer's remorse for a purchase that was quite spontaneous for me (a solid week's worth of research and haggling).
The only thing I wonder about is the performance package but honestly other than the brembos there's nothing I'd really like and the gt ones are ridiculously potent as is while I'm sure the brembos won't fade as fast in a track. Knowing myself I'll swap out the suspension and wheels sooner or later and mine came with 19's from the black accent package. I drove one with the 3.73 and while it is nice, I don't find it would be that necessary for my purposes as I don't track it (I hit the strip once in a blue moon).
Mustang GT really needs MyKey speed and revlimiter. Kind of stupid to have 400hp cars out there that don't have programmable Rev Limiters. I am concerned a joy rider (e.g. mechanic) could damage the MT82 synchronizers with some aggressive high RPM (high torque) downshifts. You won't be able to prove anything. But you could be stuck with a more clunky MT82, potentially for as long as you own the car.
I overlooked this when shopping. Not sure if Chevy and Dodge have programmable Rev limiters. Actually Dodge only has 371 hp. Not enough to worry about
Nevermind, I just checked the Dodge on caranddriver, and its the same deal really :
