Car 1. GT premium, 401a package, auto trans, perf pack 1. OTD price $41,400 everything included but my sales tax of $300.00 MSRP of $48,180.00

Car 2. GT base, 301a package, auto trans, perf pack 1, magnaride, active exhaust. OTD price $38,650 before sales tax. MSRP of $46,175.00

I’m torn. I want to lower the car, but I also really want the active exhaust and the 12 inch screen as part of the 401a. Magnaride seems to really limit lowering the car much. Is there a cost effective way to add the active exhaust? How about magnaride, any lowering options besides gt350 springs?
I also have a $750. Private cash offer to add to either deal. Do these prices look good?

I'd go for the base. Don't need leather. Also where are you finding those deals?

My 18 is specced out to the max and I love it. But if you want to lower it I'd get the base w/out Magneride.

I'd get base, and you can do an 8" screen conversion later on by sourcing out parts...

Wow, tough decision. Having driven both with and without the magneride, I would never order an '18 up with Perf pack without magneride. It's that good. But, we need more info. If you drive a LOT, like me. I can't live without leather. I don't like my body kinda stuck in cloth. Leather allows more movement comfort, for sure. But, magneride is awesome. If you are going to lower the car, then I would do the premium as you are likely to mess with magneride and then why have it? The other advantage with the premium is the electronics. The larger screen is awesome. If you sell the car, guys like me who buy their cars one to two years old will look harder at the premium as the price difference used isn't that great. My belief is if you get a deal like you are, always buy the upscale version. Either is a fantastic car, though.

Get the 401A. Can't add many of the "luxury" stuff later.... like heated/cooled seats, nav, etc.

The exhaust & suspension you'll probably end up replacing / messing with anyway and having the Magneride & Active Exhaust will be more a hinderance.

Premium with the 401a. I’m a luxury kind of guy. You can do the exhaust on your own. I’m sure the magneride is awesome but honestly, my car rides dam nice without it.

Or

Just rob a bank and get everything

I think whether or not you want the creature comforts will be the deciding factor. I have PP w/ magenride and it's pretty sweet but I didn't plan on doing any suspension work so I'm not sure how much of hinderance that will be down the road. I also don't like leather so I'm biased. Keep looking around to. Dealers in the area are offering almost 8k off in incentives.

SC Sales tax was $300.

Think it went up to $500 this year.

Before you think it is awesome, they get you in other ways around here to make up for it.

Neither.... I would shop around and find exactly what you want in the car, otherwise you'll regret it later. As many are saying, the 401A package is nice, and I love mine, the things you get in that package aren't easily added later, so you don't want buyer's remorse. You can change out suspension parts later on. I have magneride, I love it, but I didn't hate not having it in past cars, just depends on how you plan to use the car, what roads you drive, etc... If dropping the car is important, may be worth skipping. Active exhaust is great and will cost you 2x or more to add it later, even aftermarket good exhausts are quite a bit more than the option.

Long story short, there are tons of 18's sitting around and the deals are pretty good on them right now, so stretch your search out a bit further and find your car or ask the dealer to do a swap/trade with another dealership. Get what you want so you don't regret it later.
