Don't really want to jinx the weather! Just wanted to toss the question out there as there seems to be quite a few of us that won't be taking delivery before the snow falls.

What's the ideal winter tire/wheel combo? GT Performance Pack? Can we wrap an 18" rim, or even a 17" around the 15" rotor?

There aren't a lot of, if any, pre-built packages on-line yet. For example Tire Rack doesn't list available options. Anyone out there do their research already?

I'm thinking maybe a Blizzak WS-80, 235/50R18 with the corresponding wheel and offset for my long-ago ordered GT w/PP when it finally arrives as seen below:

Blizzak WS-80

DAI Alloys Autobahn (Painted/Matte Black) Wheels

or

DAI Alloys Passion (Painted/Midnight Chrome) Wheels

Thoughts?

I ordered the Foundry wheels on purpose to use as my snow tire set. I'll be putting the ws80s in that size on them. I am kind of doubtful a 17 will fit around the PP brakes, but maybe an 18 will work.

i dont think those will fit over the PP package brakes. I believe you need 19's unless you have extremely expensive high strength thin walled barrel'd 18's

Consensus seems to be only 19s will fit over the pp front brakes unless ultra high priced lightweight track type rims. Check out the wheel/tire section there have been more than a few discussion of this topic

Im in Canada as well. Mine is Ecoboost with PP so I'll be needing 19 inches wheels and tires. Let me know if you find a good deal under $2000 for both winters and wheels.

The Ecoboost PP has the same brakes as the regular GT, so 18's will fit on it.

I am doing the same thing with the 18-inch Foundry Black wheels, except that most of our snow events are light so the OEM all-season tires will suffice. Those wheels will be easy to clean off the winter gunk.

Highly recommend Winter Tires on the Mustang. All-Seasons are for FWD cars.

Even with FWD, all-seasons are for folks that live south of the Mason-Dixon...

WOW, that sucks.
Guess you don't want to hear about how our weather is still up in the 90's for afternoon high temperatures.
We should be getting stuff like that in a couple of months.
