Hi

my 2016 mustang rhd has had an intermittent fault with the drivers window in that it sometimes wouldn’t go up or down.

today for some reason it’s completely stopped working, but also the passenger window. I thought maybe the drivers switch was faulty, but I’ve tried to operate the passenger window from the passenger door and that also isnt working.
I thought maybe a fuse, but from what I’ve read, it has separate fuses for each window, so can’t see both fuses blowing, and with the intermittent fault, again can’t see it being a fuse.
Any suggestions where to check? I need to get the drivers window shut as it’s currently in the fully open position.
Thanks

Some cars if the master window switch is bad it won't let any windows operate like some old Hondas even in a 4 door car if the master switch doesn't work none of the windows will work. Not sure if mustangs are like this maybe someone can share a wiring diagram and you could jump the switch and see if the other window works, best of luck

Anybody else experienced this? Don’t want to throw parts at it. I’ve checked all fuses and all good

2016 and living in the UK. There are two general areas I can think of checking:

- While you've already reviewed the cabin fuse panel, feel the carpeting in and around that area, for water. See if any moisture is in the cabin

- Consider removing at least one, if not both door panels to perform a general inspection, for water leaks, loose connections, etc.

The S550s have several key areas where water can be allowed inside the cabin, doors and trunk. Enclosed are a series of links to water leak threads. Not all of these will apply in your case.

Good Luck. :please:
