Happy Easter everyone. Going to run square 19 x 9.5 performance pack wheels on my 2014 Gt500 will these tires work?

Will they work? Yes. Will you be happy? Idk. Most recommendations say 275 should be the widest tire on a 9.5 wheel. You can technically fit larger, but with more compromises.

A gt500 really should have wider tires then that as they are a nightmare to get to hook in general with even wider tires lol. Those sizes will work though.. A 9.5” wide wheel in the back is gonna be too skinny if you ever wanna step up the rear tire width though. A 10” wide wheel is the bare minimum for a 305 rear tire which you should run on that car. Also the way your your doing this with different size tires really isn’t a square setup as that means same size wheels and tires and offset. Most people do that so they can rotate their tires which you won’t be able to do since you wouldn’t rotate them and put wider tires in the front lol.

yeah I shouldn’t have said squared. I do want the staggered look. This car will never be raced so I don’t need to hook up. It’s a garage queen. I’m not sure a half inch really makes a visual difference as I’m going to add a 20mm spacer in the rear also

Oh.. okay. If that’s the case then just get a little wider wheel in the rear or better offset in the rear and don’t run a spacer. If your buying wheels why would you get the wrong offset and then run a spacer when you can get the proper offset and have the wheel and the stance you want with 0 spacers. Spacers are garbage and if you don’t need to run them you shouldn’t of course. Just another thing that can fail.

They are the stock PP svt wheels. I have no choice.

Go 19x10 up front and 19x11 in the rear. 285/35 or 295/35 in the front and 305/35 in the rear. Conti ECS02 makes those size tires if you want a summer only tire

If you’re using the stock wheels, just go 275/40 all the way around. 285/40 isn’t a common size and it’s a really tall tire.

It will be just fine. I have 275/40 all around on 19x9.5" on my S197

I thought about 285's just to be a hair bigger, but then you can rotate them, and I couldn't find a drag radial in that size. And there really isn't much max performance tire choice in that size, looking on tire rack. Michelin has Pilot Sports, PS4S, Bridgestone has two Potenza, but that's it.

lastly, the price jump between just that small difference in sizes can be huge depending on the particular tire

it's make more sense to go for a 305-315-ish wide tire on an 11" wheel, but then you have to match up overall heights

I would get new wheels then Or just run the same exact size tire then as like you said it doesn’t really matter if your never using the car the way it’s supposed to be used anyways.

What’s the difference if I put those sizes on the wheels I’m getting?

Depends on what the stock tire was.

Some cars might have had a 305/30-19 in front which is only like 26.2" tall.
