When do you think we will see lowering springs outside of the CFTP springs? How long does it take for Eibach, FP, BMR, others? to get to market?

Just called EIbach, they do NOT have GT500 yet for R&D, doesn't even sound like its on the books. Sounded like 3-6 month process at minimum. Told me if I new anyone in the Southern California area to send them their way. No idea if this guy was legit or not as far as really requesting a car from public (I believe he was just a sales guy).

This is common for a lot of manufacturers. They have to get the car from somewhere and Ford isn't going to send them a GT500 just to build springs for. So they typically reach out to the public first to get them quicker so they will be able to get parts designed for the market much quicker. We have done the same thing when designing out GT500 exhausts and fuel setups.

Are all s550 springs similar? Can i put GT springs on my GT500 or GT350 .....Or GT350 springs on my GT500? Obviously the rates/heights/etc will be off just curious is the physically size/shape is the same?

I like to disassemble things.
GT350/GT500 rear springs are counterwound and differ from other S550's. Fronts are similar across the board aside from free height and rate.

So would I be crazy? Stupid? To try gt350 lowering springs? I mean the weight difference between the Gt350/500 is likely not much difference than a fat butt or 2 like me driving/riding in it. I understand weight distribution and handling will be altered....but I only visit drag strip few times a year and likely will never see a real track...

Aesthetically yes....practically...well idk...will see when I get my car....also I am not arguing performance aspects of lowering as that is debatable depending on springs...I want as low as I can go and still offer decent ride and performance ...and this combination may not exist

It’s going to be CFTP springs for me unless we see Ford Performance offer something up.

They will. The springs they'll carry will be late to the game and the rates will be kept a big secret.

What is the drop F and R of the CFTP springs vs base?

Interesting. Did some more reading on it. I am new to the S550 platform, previously I had a track prepped S197 on Cortex Suspension.

Seems that not only are the FP springs for the 350 a secret spring rate (you can find it if you dig) but it’s also much softer than the OEM R springs. The if you plan on tracking your car (I do) and want a mild drop the CFTP springs may be the way to go.
