I had a Mustang follow me around a while yesterday around Woodbridge on and off I-95. He kept revving it every few seconds in the middle of a 4-lane interstate, at the off-ramp traffic light and well just all the damn time. Annoying as hell. And it was one of those ugly sounding exhaust pipes - not a good sound at all. It was pathetic how slow he was in the cloverleafs. I'd love to say I was out riding my bicycle but no, I was in the Camaro at the time.

I think it goes either way. I've had other Mustang owners rev just to say hi and have had Camaros or other fart cannons rev just to try and intimidate.

I rev under every viaduct or bridge and to those tailgaters, I`m not going any faster then the guy in front of me and have a shitty day!

I think one small rev as a greeting is pretty nice between sportscar drivers.

I just hate the guys who are constantly reving in the city for attention... ruining the hobby for everyone

I take it as a wave between two sports car owners. Happens when I pass by other Mustangs. Is it flexing? Maybe sometimes, but I don't assume that off the bat unless they just keep revving like it's a challenge.

When I had my VW GTI, the standard VW greeting between owners passing each other is to put up a V sign with your fingers. With Mustangs, it's a quick rev.
