That's me! Love it 1000%. Johndoe inspired me to go with resonated tips when I did my muffler delete. I think the tips helped to tame the sound just enough to keep from being obnoxious.
Yeah mine is also loud for the first minute or so, but I wouldn't say it's obnoxious in any way.
How much of a difference was deleting the resonator (or did you do all three at once?) and did you just do a straight pipe?
Muffler delete here. Absolutely love the improvement in tone and really cannot detect any drone (and I have a vert). I also had them install resonated tips when doing the deletes, so I definitely think going with resonated tips helped prevent any drone. I'm actually still considering deleting...
Not beadmaker specifically, but I plan to give it either a coating of Gliss soon or just use some Essence Plus every 6 months or so. I am actually using Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Detailer, which is amazingly great as a topper. The gloss is amazing with just that applied once.
Thanks guys!
Seriously, if you're on the fence or considering doing a ceramic coat and are comfortable detailing, have patience and willing to put in the time for proper prep (prep is EVERYTHING), this is completely DIY-able.
I'll be keeping this up with CarPro's Reset wash, reapply Reload...
So after my last detail job, I found out there were still some scratches and swirls my polish wasn't aggressive enough to remove. After putting in all the work, I wasn't going to leave it as is. This time I decided to go all in and do a ceramic coat.
Prep was a bulk of the work...9 hours total...

I went with these Kicker 43DSC6704s for my rear speakers to replace the 12 speaker factory rears. Major improvement even with the stock amp.
Yes Kona was the one I wanted the most, then DIB. Kona is like a chameleon... deep, rich blue in sunlight...almost purple at night. They made my old GTI in that sort of color and it was my only regret when I got it that I wasn't able to find one at the time (got gunmetal grey).
No tips, sorry...from one blue convertible Mustang owner to another, I gotta complement your ride. Man, that blue looks gorgeous with that black rag top. I'm so ready to detail mine next weekend. This weekend I'm painting my wife's wheels gloss black (she insisted I do hers next after I did mine...
Literally less than 10 mins to do. There are four 7mm screws holding the decklid in place (plus the usual clips) and two 5.5mm screws for the rear camera. I did the whole thing while I was on a conference call.
Finally installed the Scott Drake decklid. First one came damaged, second one was lost in transit, third time was a charm. There was a VERY tiny chip missing in the top left corner, but it was so miniscule that I just said fuck it and did the install. Cleaned up the back nicely and has a great...

Ugh I hope not. Folks need to drive what they enjoy...I hate that debate. If you prefer an auto, by all means go for it. Especially these days. They've come a long way and absolutely can't be beaten by a human with a MT in a race if it's well designed (like ours, the VW DSG, etc...).
