I can't make up my mind.... What would you go with and why? I daily drive my car to the tune of 100 miles a day, 5 days a week. With that being said, I WILL be supercharging my GT. What do you guys think the best blower would be for my scenario?
Either of them work for your scenario. It really boils down to if you want a centrifugal or positive displacement supercharger. Positive displacement superchargers like the whipple tend to have more torque and instant power vs the centrifugal superchargers.

Pretty good so far. Tune is conservative, and tuned for 91. I run strictly 93 so I may optimize tune to 93.

Unless your wife treats the gas pedal like a binary input device, I don't think it matters what kind of supercharger you choose.

He's making a reference to it either being at idle or WOT :lol::lol:

Sorry I had to do the "Hi I'm Captain Obvious thing".

I debated Whipple vs. ProCharger and ultimately orderd the ProCharger for a variety of reasons:

-Power Delivery Characteristics - I like the linear delivery - I had a Vortech V3 (VF Engineering Kit) on my E46 M3, and loved the way it maintained the stock cars power curve, just with increasingly more power as rpms rise when compared to stock
-Ease of Install / Reversibility
-Upfront Cost
-Reduced driveline stress due to boost/power delivery - this was huge for me

I did not need the Stage 2 kit, as I am not completely sold on adding something on the balancer. I also put 50,000 miles on my shared drive 11psi M3 Kit, and never had any issues with shared drive.

I did opt to upgrade to the Stage 2 Interfooler.

I think you'll also find that if you email some of the forum Vendors (I ordered mine from BeefCake) you'll find that the "street price" of the ProCharger kits is EXCEPTIONAL, even when upgrading to the Stage 2 Kit or Intercooler.

With the HO Kit, including Stage 2 Intercooler, compared to the whipple kit you'll be left with a lot of extra lettuce in your pockets for other upgrades that you'll really want : stickier rubber, suspension ... future driveline upgrades...

The Whipple is in the process of getting CARB certification, so yes it will be smog legal shortly. I haven't read anywhere that the ProCharger is or will be. Plus I think the Whipple looks a lot cooler and much more OEM.

How is it easy to blow your motor?
He's just making a blanket (some would say ignorant) statement out of brand loyalty and has zero facts to back it up.

I'm sure you know that making safe power is all in the tune/tuner. It isn't easier to blow a motor using one supercharger or the other even with the manufacturer supplied custom tunes.

My 186,000k mile daily driver rocks a ProCharger. ;)
But then again I might be biased. :)

My gas milage is about 1.5mpg's better then stock (Its a GM) the Fords gain more. And everything about it still works 100% stock.

Now if the factory trans makes it 200,000k miles it will be time to celebrate. :)

My goal is to have a reliable smog legal daily driver without sacrificing fuel economy. But I also want more power, a lot more power. It's as simple as that.
Thankfully you don't have to worry for 5 years about the SMOG thing.
However we are working with the CARB board now. However its not the fastest process in the world, but it is in the works.

If you're installing it yourself the procharger is much easier. I know the roush twinscrew requires some grinding on the block and timing cover for clearance
The ProCharger HO system install is super easy.
The ProCharger STG2 system install is just as easy, however since you have to remove the crank bolt, its nice if you have an extra person helping so they can hold the flywheel from moving.

For the "average" guy, literally 90% of our customers will never need more then the HO system. :)

From what I've researched so far, it's possible to maintain the same fuel economy as a N/A vehicle while running forced induction as long as you have a proper tune. However, I do understand that spirited driving will most definitely drain your tank a lot faster with boosted applications.

But to answer your question, no I don't have a Tesla engine but my wife's commuter does.
As long as you aren't beating on it, (which will be hard the first week or two) you will actually see a nice bump in gas milage. :) Pretty much all customers have reported these gains on these 2015 cars. (which we expected)

Unless your wife treats the gas pedal like a binary input device, I don't think it matters what kind of supercharger you choose.
This just made my morning!:cheers:

My gal daily drives rear wheel drive benz and asks, "Why don't my back tires last as long as the fronts" ha ha. I had to explain to her what "scrubbing the tires" meant.
