Congratulations on engineering such a great product. I mean, with a couple complimenting bolt-ons, you are doubling rwhp. Outstanding.

Whipple SC, do you work for the IRS? They take our taxes and by the sound of it you will be taking the tax return (including mine).

I've heard a few new things coming through shortly! I can't freaking wait either! The electronic part will be an excellent thing to have in ones possession! Whipple is hands down the best money spent for product, power, and customer service! They knocked it out of park!

I’m mostly an FI noob and all these big dyno numbers sound great and all but I have a couple questions about Whipple with regards to their SC kit and every day durability:

1.) How good is the intercooler setup in dealing with IAT’s in mid-summer heat (90-100 degrees), particularly while sitting in traffic.
2.) How about the opposite, when it comes to freezing temps. Any concerns there?
3.) What does their tune set the rev limiter at?
4.) Given the high cost of the kit, can we expect higher quality parts & more durability in general, compared to the competition
5.) Any other benefits of their kit? Ease of install? Ease of maintenance?

Additionally, if we are talking about a bone stock S550 GT automatic + your kit, what would the minimum upgrades you would recommend to prevent things from breaking, with consideration to it being just a street car on Street tires (Possibly DR’s such as Nitto 555r’s)

I will answer your first question. I see that you live in NY. I'm in Tampa and it is way hotter here. It is still in the 80s right now. With the fans and I have the stock TB, the highest IATs that I would see is 135, during the summer. Driving around I am typically 5 to 10 degrees above the outside temp. In NY, I wouldn't even worth about it.

The kit is easy to install on your own. Though it does take a little bit of time. It helps to have a friend or mechanically like minded person help. Just take your time doing it to route everything nice and neat. It looks like a factory installed kit after the fact. Whipple even has a warranty on their kit.

Since you have an automatic you won't have to upgrade a clutch due to increased power. Lots of guys are changing to a heavier duty driveshaft and CV axles to handle the extra power. (piece of mind in stronger parts) The stock parts previously mentioned work fine for normal everyday driving. If you are planning on drag racing and hard launches, for the love of God upgrade your drive line and CV's! Because it's only a matter of time before it may fail. There is no way you could be disappointed with the Whipple Kit. Those of us that have it couldn't be happier. Give Whipple a call and they will gladly spend as much time as you need explaining everything to you on the phone. Best kit available in our opinion.
