For me, Ill be using MRT, I have used on 2 other Mustangs, and IMHO the product is solid and ticks all my boxes...I am sure Red Line is as well, but I can only speak for MRT...in addition, the customer support is top notch.
I've always used MRT, buy tried Redline this time.

Wish I had gone with the MRT. Not really a fan of this kit. My old MRT hood struts seemed way stronger. Hated having to drill in the cover as well.

Here are mine. I installed them last night. I am very happy with the quality and look. Love the fact that they are painted. I bought them from JLT and the extra money getting them color matched is right on. they look stock! BTW, just a little hint, if you do not wish to scratch the paint on the hood nuts, put a bit of tape around the nut before removal. i did it and it looks great.

Why didn't they paint all the parts White...Have you considered doing it?

Looks good BTW--> Just wondering about all one color.

I actually preferred them that way they are as I would imagine they would have come from the factory that way.

MRT...they have a strut support that helps stiffen the hood. I am not worried about adding a few ounces to my front end.

Just installed Redline today. Approx. 45minutes max. Great product ,excellent directions for installation and work better than I anticipated. Ordered from CY Pony on Thursday and in the mail box this morning. No more worry that the hood will slip from my hand and slam down to cause a creased hood. Can't ask for a better deal at 99 bucks, J

Is it worth getting the redline elite for $30.00 more?

Nope, unless you plan to show it with hood up at street fairs and intend to do chrome on other areas in the engine compartment.

Twenty15,
It's all personal preference. Functionally the PLUS and ELITE systems are the same it's all about aesthetics. We salt spray test our black gas springs in the PLUS system to the industry standard 150 hours per ASTM B117, so they match the OEM requirements for under hood corrosion resistance. The ELITE system features a marine grade 316L Stainless steel gas springs which have even better corrosion resistance than our black gas springs. The internals of the gas springs are the same and both systems contain the same black powder-coated mounting hardware.
