Mine is a '15 and I have not had one single issue with it.

I have tried that on my car and it will not work. You would have to not only have the correct wiring harness for it but also have to program your vehicle for it. At the end, too much money and hassle. Good luck!

I had one just like it. The only issue was getting to angle correctly on the windshield.
