I like to imagine that every vendor that chimes into a post like this is a fighter getting into the ring, and they all have to fight it out until OP chooses a victor :paddle::paddle::paddle:

lol! I will be going with redline personally, not sure which vendor though :headbonk:

Neither because stock rod is perfectly fine and is lighter.
So is this a track car for you, if not the half pound difference just won't matter! I hate to say it but there are way too many people on this forum that think they are Michael Schumacher. BTW, if you do intend to race this after modifying it, more power to ya and I apologize for the Michael Schumacher.

Out of curiosity what is the obsession with hood struts? Why pay money for something that causes handprints and smudges everytime you have to close the hood? Much easier to just drop it and be done with it.

You can still drop to latch. The struts are strong enough to hold the hood when it is up, but not strong enough to hold it when it is only open a little. At least that was true with my Foxes, and this hood is a lot bigger.

The prop rod is so inelegant, and can get in the way if you're working under the hood. It's a very cheap mod to boot.

Ah I see. I didn't realize you can still drop it. Good info! I've wondered about this since I bought my 2011 and have seen hundreds of threads about this mod. Guess that speaks to how little Ford cares about it that it's still a topic of discussion now ;)

I am installing Redline struts. Manufacturer decals are removable for either black or stainless. I hate having a prop rod in my way when I open a hood.

I used Redline on my last 4 Mustangs. Great product.

MRT or Redline and why?
For me, Ill be using MRT, I have used on 2 other Mustangs, and IMHO the product is solid and ticks all my boxes...I am sure Red Line is as well, but I can only speak for MRT...in addition, the customer support is top notch.

I installed the Redlines this Sunday, they work great, and you can still drop the hood to close it. One thing I did notice was that 3/4 in hole you drill in the battery cover is a bit bigger than that if you want the cover to sit flush again... it's all good!
