I have a UPR Paxton CC setup on my car.. only because the bobs wouldn't work with my setup. I'm not sure about the Bobs being pricey, and a lot of people go with JLT because it's a very easy install but IMO, the bobs outperforms the new one (tests proving it outperformed the most current model at the time, a year+ ago).

I got Bob's first and I had problems with fitment...the bracket wasn't placing the can in the right place, the can would sit slightly off vertical and it was hitting some harness or hoses.

I ended up selling it and getting a UPR remote mount, which installs more or less in the same spot, but it fits perfectly. On retrospective, I should have gotten the radiator mount...too late for that.

I'm currently running the Ford Racing ones on my car but have run both the Bob's and the newer UPR(UPR can is two years old and does not have the newest inside design). I also ran a RX can for a while when I was doing a comparison test between it and my Bob's can.

Like has been mentioned before, just because you see oil in the can doesn't mean it's effective and how clean the exit line coming out of the can is will give you a better idea on how effective the can is.

Out of all of the cans I have used, the Bob's can had the least amount of oil or oil residue in the exit line. It would just have a slight film. I have considered going back to it but I do like the OEM look of the Ford Racing ones so I'm undecided.

I have not tried the latest version of the UPR four chamber can so I don't know how well it does. The version I have does not do as well as the Bob's can.

Bobs and UPR are probably going to be the best performers (and also the biggest cans with the mode filter media).

Those smaller can inline ones are probably middle road.

The Ford Racing I would put below those inline small cans. The filter in it looks pretty poor and the design isn't that great either. For the price you can do better.

I run a Bobs after all of the tests Ive seen done of them. Bobs were under $100 then, I believe the standard ones were $99 (now $114). I cant remember if UPR's were out then or just too expensive for my blood then (I believe they were minimum $150 and up)

It's funny how many posts there are and very few if any report about the can options actually letting oil through. Thanks for taking the time to report that.

Is Bob's still experiencing any QA issues with hose pairing/length and overall fitment?

You are welcome. Most people just get caught up in the fact that the can is catching oil but don't look at the exit line to see what it looks like. In some cans I have found liquid oil just like I found before I added the can and in others all I found was a slight film of oil that would barely stain a new Q-tip.

The cans that only show a slight sign of oil are working better than the ones that still show liquid oil. No can is going to be 100% effective.

it has an engine!
Also it may take a small bit of time for the new users for any can to see if the tube is getting some residue. For example, my upr can had zero oil after 1000 miles on the passenger side. I have residue in the can but not the tube. My clean side had less than a teaspoon of oil and no residue in the tube returning to the intake tube. My engine seems to be uncommonly tight. Only reason i seem to have some on the driver side is because the little car is drove, i beat it like it owes me money and slept with my wife.

 they also make clean side separators for the ecoboost v6 f150 that looks like it would fit onto our nipple as well. Let me know what they say about both if you wouldnt mind. Id love for when throwing our Elite as an option they had a kit.
I never received an email back from that company.

I checked my JLT seperator and the clean side had a thin film of oil in it. I thought I had the original unit but thankfully American Muscle sent me the 3.0 during the transition to the new unit.

I'm my rather extensive research on these it seems like the bobs can lets the least amount of oil by based on how clean the outlet side tube is. I like the UPR can as well but I would not run it sitting on a 210* radiator hose like they have and with remote mount options it costs what two bobs cans cost.

FRPP, I prefer the o.e. look and they do one for each side:

I thought I read somewhere the left hand one only fitted GT350? Something about a missing part on the non GT350 car?

UPR hands down. I was hesitant to spend so much on a catch can, but after receiving it it was a no brainer for FI. Hands down the best quality with no corners cut.
