It took two more tries but I found a friendly place that did it.
They were thorough, looked up the part # from the EO sticker, asked a few questions. Joked around and that was that.
It's the Force Performance Power Pack 2. I'm going to take it to another shop and see if I run into the same thing.
California SMOG testing is such a weird system.
I have a 16 Mustang GT with a Power Pack 1. Installed at Galpin with an EO sticker placed where it should be on the inside of the hood.
Today I went to get my first SMOG check since I purchased the car new.
Basically the guy pulled up the EO# info in his computer and said because it was for a...
Long story short, I was away for over a month on business and my car bettery died. Couldn't even open the locked doors. So I popped the emergency key cover on the outside door handle to get access to the traditional lock to recharge the battery. But during this, I think I broke off one of the...
One of the bolts that keeps my chin splitter attached came loose today. As I was looking it, I realized my hand was covered in a small to medium amount of oil-like fluid. I've lowered my car by about an inch and I've scraped the underside a couple of times but nothing serious.
Is this normal...
To sweeten the pot, because my wife really wants them gone from our apartment garage, I'm willing to throw in one of my other takeoff parts for free.
I have an OEM CAI, front grille (upper and lower), OEM dampers + springs.
Tires are recycled though. :(
One thing I've noticed...my steering response feels a touch laggy after install the bigger wheels. Is this normal going from stock to 285/305s?
Putting steering into Sport mode helps a little.
I had a wheel alignment done a month ago after I upgraded my suspension - its fairly aggressive settings.
The second option's design is not in the same league as the Space City Spy design.
What happened to Space City Spy?
I ordered an Anchor Room placque and designed it myself. But I still don't think it'll touch the original design.
The under-steer with the new staggered setup is most noticeable at lower speeds, less noticeable at higher speeds. It's not terrible its just not the same as my old square setup.
I like these wheels. Observations from half a day of owning them:
1. The staggered MP4S / MSS combo works out really great. Gripper, quieter than stock, looks great. Not perfectly flush but close enough to my liking.
2. There is some noticeable under-steer with the staggered setup (305 Super...
Obligatory post supporting the Corsa Sport Catback option. It's amazing - loud when I want it, quiet when I don't and transforms the V8 sound into something almost exotic.
Also, at this point, Corsa should be paying BMacIL a commission. Salesman of the year.
For sale is my set of 19" Dark Stainless aluminum wheels that came with my premium 2016 Mustang GT. IMO these were the coolest wheels that came with the original S550s.
They're in excellent condition having recently had some minor road rash repaired by Galpin Auto Sports.
I'm asking $400 OBO...
Finding good wheels in 305/35/19 is stupid hard.
I ended up grabbing MPSS in 305/35/19 and pairing them with MPS4S in 285/35/19 in front. The shop said it would work great because its the same mfg and almost similar tread pattern.
I would have gone MPSS in front too but every distributor I...
