Per request of Wylde im making a drop in post. The two best in my opinion is Upr and Elite. Bobs is nice too but if im spending that much ill opt for what ive found to be higher quality in the most updated UPR's cans or Elite http://www.eliteengineeringusa.com/e2-x-catch-cans/

For elite there isnt a direct mounting kit for the mustang. However it would be easy to some to mount. Elite is probably the most expensive and that will not to be somes liking.

Thinking more about it, id be willing to bet Elite could put together a kit for the s550 since they do have one for the f150 coyote.

I had the FR and loved the OE fit, finish, and quality. Was a bit of a PIA to empty, but worked really well. Now it doesn't fit with my PP2, so I just ordered the JLT based on the recommendation of a number of members here.

In fact, just posted my FR for sale here, but really not happy to have to sell it, because I was very happy with it.

Can't say if the JLT is good or not, because I don't have it yet, but the folks here seem to give it very good reviews, which is why I went with it.
But it does fit man, see my picture, I have PP3, only difference is manifold and fits fine buddy, just gotta loosen the reservoir and move it over a couple of mm to give some extra room so no hoses are rubbing.

I've owned the JLT 3.0 and the Ford Performance versions.

The Ford Performance unit has very high quality filter media.

The Ford Performance unit physically attaches to the cylinder head cover vs hanging from the hoses as other designs do.

Empting the Ford Performance unit isn't difficult in my opinion. Just disconnect the OEM designed PCV inlet and outlet hose connectors (gently lift the lock tabs and pull), then use a small blade screw driver to gently lift up on the two push heads. Pour out any captured oil though the inlet port then reinstall.

Between the two, I prefer the quality Ford Performance Oil Separator.

UPR, people comment how they don't like how it hangs- but it's not hurting anything. Pop the two quik connect clips and empty it. Super easy and great filter.

So I understand for those looking to get one, but is there really that much of a difference for those that already have one? Would it be worth it to buy a UPR if you already have a JLT? I have an older JLT and its a pretty simple/basic design but it appears to catch oil at least? I don't do a lot of high RPM driving and may eventually hit an auto cross or two or maybe an HPDE event eventually, but I don't think that'll ever be a regular thing for me.

If your clean side pipe has oil residue going to the throttle body or the intake tube, its not doing its job when full or empty. Even when full the tube exiting the AOS must be dry.

I'm baffled that they don't make a S550 version. I'll shoot them an email and see what they say.
 they also make clean side separators for the ecoboost v6 f150 that looks like it would fit onto our nipple as well. Let me know what they say about both if you wouldnt mind. Id love for when throwing our Elite as an option they had a kit.

Email sent but I probably won't get a reply until Monday.

I'll go pull my JLT unit later and see if the clean side pipe is oily. I usually just drain it and go.

A vote for the Ford Performance unit. It is OE and designed well compared to the kits that are a canister and some hoses someone rigged up.

I ran an Elite Engineering years ago in my GTO, it was nice but the filter looked cheap and the money spent was to give you a fancy looking part.

You probably ran their much cheaper can than what i linked. I talked my buddy into putting this on his f150 over his jlt. It is stupid nice. Nothing feels cheap on it and it mounts very well. He loves it. Ive never seen the OE taken a part or checked the dry hose after some miles i cant comment if its good or not.

I assume this is for me, full like the catch can is full? I don't think I've had more than a teaspoon or two of oil at any given time, empty it once or twice between oil changes, about 4500-5000 miles so far. My throttle body looked pretty clean when I put the PMAS on the other day, though I didn't check it for residue necessarily, wasn't on my mind. So I should pull the PCV from the intake occasionally and check it for residue? I guess the bigger thing is JLT is better than nothing and maybe UPR if I get into auto cross or more HPDE.

yes it was for you. Yes full. Some people let the cans fill up and then it starts coming out the dry side tube. Your throttle body may look clean doesnt mean your dry tube coming off the can to the TB doesnt have residue. You should check it every so often even with a UPR or Elite can every so often ro make sure its doing its job. You most definitely would have oil sloshing out with with AutoX or HPDE on a jlt unit. Is a jlt unit better than nothing? Sure, i guess, is it 100% doing what you paid for? In my opinion, no. I doubt your hose is dry. I know they dont stop oil from sloshing out of the can unless 3.0 put in a check valve on its side going back toward the TB. Ive never seen a jlt can 100% perform its functions. Does it catch oil? You bet. Worth is a subjective thing, you know? I dont find any can that doesn't perform all its duties, good.

Also it may take a small bit of time for the new users for any can to see if the tube is getting aome residue. For example, my upr can had zero oil after 1000 miles on the passenger side. I have residue in the can but not the tube. My clean side had less than a teaspoon of oil and no residue in the tube returning to the intake tube. My engine seems to be uncommonly tight. Only reason i seem to have some on the driver side is because the little car is drove, i beat it like it owes me money and slept with my wife.
