I call this a bullshit joke here. 3 engines in the same car? Yeah right.
Just relaying what the guy told me. He seemed sincere enough. Not sure why he would lie to me about it...

I have no agenda. I have one of these cars and love it.

I think he explained it. Just one "real" failure. The first replacement engine was destroyed by dealer error due to shrapnel from the first failure being left in the oil cooler. The 3rd was just the replacement for that one.

I'm not blaming you. I'm just saying I don't believe him.

I guess i'll just drive it and enjoy it until something happens. If nothing, I'll keep it for a long time. If it fails, I'll trade it on a Raptor...They seem pretty bad ass

You don't believe that the servicing dealer left debris in the system causing the 2nd failure?

I have owned a number of cars over the last 10 years and I always join the most popular and most civil forums for that car. Every one of the 10 forums I have been on have a thread like this.

With Gen 4 Camaro's it was piston slap (no confirmed failures due to this were reported, at least not on LS1 Tech).

My CTS-V it was whine from a blower isolator and chattering of the wheels on hard turns.

With my C7 it was carbon buildup due to Direct Injection.

Every brand of every car has issues. Until they happen to me I just enjoy my car and can't be bothered worrying about this stuff. That's what the warranty is for.

Seems common, the ecoboost has had condensation issues with the IC for years.

In his original story, he said that the car had three engines and all of them "cried uncle". Then he got the R. So, that means it was going to be four engines total if he wasn't offered an 'R'. What happened to engine #3?

It became self-aware, learned that Ford was it's parent, and promptly killed itself.

I know of a car of a friend who had his engine replaced due to a cracked block at the starter area.. Not a catastrophic failure but was discovered after two starter failures.
