In my case at least, my original oil cooler lines were reused. Therefore my car is still awaiting the recall work to be performed.
Correct! My car will still need the recall performed.

How pissed are you guys going to be if the unthinkable happens and that line blows? ;)

Great to see that some work is finally being done, but looking at those pictures it doesn't seem they know what fender covers are for.

It looks like he's using some kind of rags-towels to protect the fenders. It'd be like :eyebulge:

It would only make any legal case stronger, if Ford didn't take care of us! What's the chance that we'd be the lucky few to have engine issues and have one of those lines let loose? With my luck, I wouldn't bet against it!

We gotta just laugh about some of it. :D;)

Edit: It does suck though to have to bring it back in after having an engine replacement for something like this though.....
I can't wait to get more seat time in a much more boring Ford!

He is using large heavy covers, 3 each. One for each fender and the front end.

This may help explain why it took my dealer 13~14 business days after my new engine arrived to do the swap. I didn't get too many details from my swap. I was hoping to talk to the main tech who did the work but he was out the day I picked up the car supposedly. I'm glad you're sharing your info/pics!

Here are some pics as promised. I got a kick of the old 20k+ motor resting on the floor against the SAE approved engine stand.

Here are some additional pics of the oil cooler lines involved in the recall. Clearly a week point as only one crimp is engaging with the hose. Unfortunately for me, I will have to come back to have them replaced once the parts are available..>SIGH!

Day 49, bolts for clutch on order. How long does it take to get some bolts in? LOL its been 3 days! Toodles, I believe you hold the record with 53 days in the shop, I think I might surpass you the weekend approaching. water pump, pulleys and engine installed. Still needs wiring harness, manifold/TB, exhaust, XMSN, etc.....LOL

Hmm, when do I start my countdown? From when they told me I needed a new engine from middle of September or yesterday when they said they ordered a long block. I need a contest judges ruling on this. ;)
