Introducing GR340

Like to introduce my GT350R chassis number GR340 to everyone. I'd like to thank all the very dedicated members of this forum. I'm fortunate to be a member of such a passionate group of Mustang lovers.

Now on to the story. I watched the day Ford unveiled the GT350R a the NAIAS on Jan. 2015. That same day, I had a text into my regular dealership to inquire about the car. Obviously, they knew nothing about it nor anything about if they were even going to get an allocation. Nevertheless, I spent the next 11 months meeting and discussing and texting the dealership about the car. On December 7, 2015, I can to terms with the dealer for the purchase of their only 350R allocation. Waiting game from that point. Car was built around April 28, 2016 and I took delivery on May 20, 2016. I performed most of the car prep (they removed the yellow spacers) and with my salesman's help, washed the car. Took her to a charity car show the next morning. Less than 48 hours since I took delivery and I already have over 225 miles on it. I'm just getting started....

The car..... OMG! :hail::eyebulge:. It is insane . No reviews can prepare you for the actual experience. The sound is probably the first thing that stands out. The pull after 3k RPM... :eyebulge:. It truly is an amazing Mustang.

Welcome to the R club. Moreover, welcome to the Magnetic R club.

If you didn't see the white spacers come off the back then they are still there. Pull the wheels, pull the spacers and then have the dealer reset the mag suspension with the wheels hanging.

Jacksonville, FL area. I thought it would have been cool to get GR350. Hopefully someone here gets it....

I'm 99% certain that GR350 was built on 4/29 or 5/2.

Fantastic looking R! Every time I see another color (any color other than the one I ordered), I question my choice They all look so good! My order was magnetic for a while as well - LOVE the color!

You are 100% correct. All the colors are great. I was torn between my color and Black with Black stripes. Magnetic with Blue stripes was a third runner up.

Congrats on the R! I really really really love Magnetic, the color works so well with the contours of the car and with the matte OTT black stripes and the red accents, it looks damn menacing. Also very cool that your dealer let you be involved with the prep, what a great experience.

I have to agree with others that every time I see a picture thread of a color I didn't order, it makes me doubt my choice!
