Wish we had read this sooner, Our daughter just bough a 2015 5.0 GT Auto last night trading in her perfect 09 GT that she loved. Well on the ride home (65 miles) on I95 running about 70 MPH I was shocked about feeling the vibration I did not say anything to her yet she was so happy about her new Mustang. Myself our son (RBS550) and daughter have had Mustangs and Fords all our life. I bought our new GT 2 weeks ago but not been out on the highway yet but going out to see if ours has the same problem. Here`s our daughter getting her new stang last night she will be on this site soon! She`s home waxing it today I guess I`ll have to break the bad news to her soon.
Hello BOBS550,

Welcome to the forum! Please have her bring it in to her Ford Dealer for diagnosis as soon as possible. Also, PM me with her VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate this for her as well.

Welcome and sorry to hear about the vibration. This thread has some good information on what you should look at when deciding how to handle this problem. If you need any assistance just pm. I have been through it.
Thanks, Going to see how things go with the Dealership. Our family has been buying Fords there for close to 40 years hope that means something! Thanks for your info

Day two in another shop, and after escalation from the Ford team here. Have not been able to find out whats wrong with the car. I was told that they pulled a new one from the lot, and it did the same thing mine was doing. I told them, well then there is something wrong with that one too.
I lifted the hood and showed the service tech, when I dropped it off, where the vibration was coming from. With the engine at idle, you can see the upper 5.0 engine cover vibrate, you can look at the hood prop, and its vibrating so much, it looks like you took another piece of metal and hit it. Touch your hand at the front of the hood while it's propped, and vibration resonates through you arm. They said they are waiting to hear back from Ford Tech hotline.

I just got off a call with Ford Customer Service. The CS rep told me that since the dealer can't feel the vibration, they won't do anything for me. I'm speechless. He also told me if a dealership decides that there is no problem, nothing is going to get done. The best I could hope for was to find a dealership that was willing actually diagnose the problem.

I think Old Ford Guy's point of not even bother to deal with them and replace the drive shaft would be better for my health.

Maybe the BBB is the only other opportunity, but I'm way beyond angry about this.

On a side note - Should I cancel the extended warranty on my brand new F-150 EcoBoost? Seems like the dealership can just decide there is no problem and deny fixing the problem there too.

I'm new to the forum. Bought my 2015 Ecoboost in February, and noticed a vibration about one month from purchase. The dealer I bought the car from said it was normal and they couldn't do anything about it. Vibrations started getting worse, right around the time I got the recall notice in the mail.

Hoping for a different take on the vibration, I took my car to another dealer who is closer to our home and normally does all our service (wife has a 2012 Escape). They felt the vibration and adjusted the drive shaft, which helped some but did not eliminate the problem.

Brought the car back to them earlier this week and after another adjustment things got worse. They've ordered me a new drive shaft, and I'm still waiting for the recall parts to arrive (2 weeks now). Hopefully the new parts fix the problem, and the dealer so far has shown a willingness to try and get it right.

This is my 3rd Mustang ('99, '07) and I never had a problem like this so soon after purchase. I really want to love the car, but the vibrations just make it difficult to enjoy. Will post updates once the repairs are done.

File with the BBB autoline. Make sure you have documented everything, have a copy of your repair order, bill of sale and create a log of all calls and interaction with Ford. The BBB will notify Ford, verify your application and assign someone to the file. If you are unable to resolve the issue in about 20 days, it's goes or arbitration. Of course you can request arbitration at time during the process.

Good luck.

Just curious, did the vibration return after the first adjustment and before the second adjustment? If so, this sounds like something is wearing abnormally.

Well, I've had success with my 50-70 mph vibration problem. The dealership verified the vibration and after changing out various components, the problem was the left rear CV joint. Once replaced, the car is now smooth as silk....vibration totally gone. Hang in there guys and girls, there is hope with the right dealer. I feel your frustration, but hang in there, its fixable.

Falconeddie...That is great news.....however I believe that is the first axel CVJ specifically indicated as a cause. Hopefully FORD service is developing a cause & effect check list for this vibration issue and will PUBLISH it for all to see and understand. Get with it FORD!!

This has all turned to be very disappointing and frustrating. While the tech acknowledged the obvious vibration doesn't seem right, it spent three days in the shop, only to be told that they can't do anything about it, and that their field engineer says there nothing wrong. I'm going to take video. Think i'll hit up tweeter and FB, maybe they will do something then. I can live with panels not aligned, I can live with just the seat bottom cooling, I can live with a crooked rear antenna mount, weaker than most A/C, sqeaky convertible top, but gosh, how much do I have to live with. I will not live with this constant vibration in the car.
