I feel mine from 60-80 and it comes through the floor pans shakes all the mirrors and sound like I have a bad ground on a subwoofer. A low bass tone in the cabin.

Thats how mine was before I took it in. Needless to say they have no idea how to fix it.

All these symptoms sound like a bearing bad somewhere. Cannot remember all the specifics, but is this happening in autos and manual cars?

If you look at the chart at the top of the page it looks like on both but more reported on the manual at least on here.

I wonder if anyone has put a run out gauge on rear hubs and all spinning parts?

According to where I took mine they say they did. Plus to change the axles the hub nuts would have had to been re-torqued and that was an area of concern on other posts so....

I'm going to try to take my 17 GT in this week for the vibration. I'm going to start by showing them the SSM 45938 as a place to start.

on car balance at dealership about 14K miles ago and the vibration is starting again. It is there but not enough that techs are going to feel it. So, using the hose clamp that the tech placed on the DS as a starting point to re-balance.

Just time consuming putting car on jack stands to make small incremental clamp position changes. Think i have it but need to drive for a couple days and at different speeds.

BTW - someone posted in this thread on how they DIY balanced their DS. Didn't need the instructions at the time but remembered the steps, Thanks!

Would going to a high end one piece driveshaft help resolve this ?

I had a one piece shaftmasters drive shaft in mine for a short time and it vibrated like hell .. I sent it back to them and they said they rebalanced it .. I reinstalled it and it was worse !! Sent it back and got a full refund ..:frusty:

I'm really starting to lose my patience over all this crap. They've already had my car once for 5 weeks and had no idea really how to fix it and now I'm going to be calling them tomorrow and telling them that it came back. Really starting to regret buying this car but I had had an EcoBoost before this and everything was great with that car so I just upgraded to the V8 and now I have nothing but problems

It's not just the DS, it's the whole rotating mass & the pinion angles. Even if the DS is perfect (which FORD seems to have an issue with) if any of the other components is off you will get the vibration. These things are all subject to wear and will continue to change over the life of the vehicle, that's why they can make it go away for a little while or under certain conditions but then it comes back. If you live in an area with crappy roads, you may not notice it as there is so much vibration from the road anyway, but put it on a nice, smooth recently paved road & BOOM !

It really seems to come down to 3 choices - live with it, be prepared to tweak the DS weights periodically or LL the car and move on.
