  1. 2016 differential (3.15) at dealership for rebuild

UPDATE: Before the rebuild --- When throwing the car into a hard left turn it felt like the drivers seat was moving 1/8 to 1/4 inch to the right. After the rebuild no longer feel that movement. So, thinking this movement was really the axle moving in the differential causing the seal to fail.
  2. 2016 differential (3.15) at dealership for rebuild

Diff was rebuild under ford ESP warranty just had to pay my $50 deductible . The passenger side axle seal was the cause. There must have been something wrong with it to fail at only 65k miles.
  3. 2016 differential (3.15) at dealership for rebuild

Dealership has to follow Ford ESP rules. I asked about getting a new diff but ford mother-ship said rebuild if i want it covered by warranty. Dealership had to send pictures of the damage before Ford ESP would approve the work. If even ask about covering the difference in price new 3.55 vs...
  4. 2016 differential (3.15) at dealership for rebuild

. Started as a scrapping sound 35-50 mph from the rear of the car. Seemed a little louder in slight turns and would almost go away when driving straight. Thought it might be a wheel bearing. But one of the rear axle seals let go at just over 60k miles. Weird thing is not one drop of gear oil on...

  8. Can anyone recommend an exhaust to go with my MPT prx93 tune?

Only needs to be for V6 if doing axle-back. GT cat-back exhaust will bolt to the V6. I am running a takeoff OEM GT cat-back with H-pipe. Sounds real good up to 4k rpm (zero drone) but gets a little raspy after that. If you like raspy put an X-pipe on. OEM GT takeoffs can still be had for almost...

  11. Maximum life of a Mustang V6 Engine?

Have 60K miles on my 2016 3.7 and still enjoying the car. Change oil every 6000-7000 full synthetic which is the same interval i used on my 2001 mustang 3.8 v6. It had 245K miles and was still running strong when i traded it for the 2016. Plan to keep this car a long time...... I tried engine...
  12. extended warranty

same here and it is a ford ESP. After purchase Flood uploaded it to fords database, verified the new ESP date at my dealers service desk. My dealer was pushing a 3rd party ESP for way more $$$ than for same coverage through flood ford.
  13. 2015 Mustang doesn't sound right.

Had the same sound on my 2001 mustang v6 ended up being a cracked wield on the manifold. Removed the manifold and got a shop to re-wield the connection to fix the crack. Being newer car would guess this is something loose rather then something broken but it can happen. First thing is to...

  15. ecoboost or 3.7 engine

My 2016 v6 had the 50-70 mph vibration issue at 3k miles. Ford replaced under warranty DS and transmission flange. Ford SSM 45938 (Mustang drive-line vibration at highway speeds). Dealership had to go through the steps listed in the SSM. Replacing parts did not completely fix it. Ford's fix is...
  16. wheel options for v6

ultra high performance summer tires can be sketchy when temps drop. Don't know where you are or what the weather is like just be aware.
  17. wheel options for v6

any stock 15-17 wheel will fit, in 15-16 there was an 18 inch wheel option for the V6. Check https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=154 for take offs. I was interested in a set of stock 20 inch nickle wheels until i saw how much tires were.

  19. MPT Tune Officially out

Been running MPT PRX89-87 this winter, switched to PRX91 two months ago. Running mostly 92 but sometimes 93 octane when i find it. I would have to go back to stock to really feel a difference in hp/torque. Interesting thing is i am getting 1mpg better than when on PRX89-87. Definitely been worth it.
  20. Need advice - potential '18 GT buyer
