Do you experience vibration and rumbling between 50 and 70 mph?

Has anyone tried telling Trump the Democrats haven't been able to solve this problem?

Funny, but raises a point. This is an AMERICAN ICON. There should be some pride and responsibility in making it. I have owned imports before this. Next time, back to imports I go..

After reading these posts for a while now I think these folks at BMR and Steeda pretty much have the parts needed to fix the vibration. Someone should come up with a plan on what to do and in what order it should be done. You start with the number one on the list and progress through until the vibration is gone. You take the cost of the parts, and the labor cost according to what a certified mechanic would charge and send it by registered letter to the president of Ford. Give them thirty days from receipt to pay or interest will be added.
And Democrats don't solve problems, they make them.

I have followed this thread since it started. Recently I was watching "A Faster Horse" on Netflix's which documents the building and design of this generation of the Mustang. If you have watch this documentary throughout it there are out takes from the Manufacturing meetings to the actual discussions on the Manufacturing and development floor. One of these particular scenes around 23 mins into the documentary you can watch the Chief Engineer Dave and Lead Engineer Tom, discussing vibrations in the steering wheel and then the chief engineer says "You're feeling it in your hand and your feeling it in your foot, and together those two issues equal a whole lot of vibration"

It will be interesting to see if the 2018 models have the same vibration or not. I'm betting Ford made some changes to address the drive line vibration

In the various 2018 refresh threads, there are videos where a Ford rep saying they changed the driveshaft and half shafts for the 2018s for reasons not specifically given. Ford would be nuts to let this issue continue into a 4th model year.

Ive seen a few vidoes of live 18's, looks like the panel fitting is much better, but I'm holding judgement until production begins!

They put more time and effort into pre-production cars that are going on display. We won't know how the gaps will be until flat rock starts slapping them together later this year.

It has been about two months since I have posted on here because I have not wanted to air my business about my car while I was working with Ford and the BBB on a buy back of my car due to vibration issues. Well, last Thursday I signed papers accepting the offer from Ford. I turned the car/keys into the dealer that same day. The checks to the bank and myself should be mailed out this week sometime. I am glad this ordeal is over but I was very disappointed that the problem could not be fixed because I really liked the car.

I have already found a replacement though, a 67 Mustang convertible. V8 - Power disc brakes - auto - AC - PS. It was restored about 4-5 years ago and garage stored but the paint is not holding up because they used Enamel and it is cracking in a few areas. It does look good from 10 foot though. It was in the same family for 34 years!

The original color was black and will most likely be put back to black when I repaint it.

This is how she looks now but I have plans for her in the future.

I am not buying anything else, it was a buy back, not a swap. I have other daily drivers, it was just a fun car for me and the wife.

Be sure to post up your VIN of the Lemon in the Lemon Law thread - because Ford is only going to flip it to another unsuspecting buyer - and we're trying to stop the BS.

Hard to say , see my procedure here.. basically hold at several speeds in the 50-70 range and decel / accel in and out of it .
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1703845&postcount=84

So if you don't have a vibration, or test driving a new Mustang , try this
1) Turn of climate control and radio
2) Accelerate to 60 MPH , coast to 50 and hold for 10-20 seconds while listening carefully
3) brake to 40-45 and hold
4) observe any change in sound .
5) Accelerate to 65 hold , then accelerate to 75
6) observe any change in sound .

Mix it up some more if you get a chance

I do think quite a few Mustangs have vibration, at least slightly . Most of my passengers don't notice it in my car, but I can when I do the above.

I have just joined the group with vibrating drivelines.

My driveshaft was replaced for a clank when shifting into drive or reverse. I picked it up on my way to work last Wed. afternoon without proper test drive. My mistake, I should've just been tardy.

My car did not have a vibration before, now it definitely does. It is going in first thing in the morning. Cobra Jet has your final fix held up (hoping so!)?

Thanks

Your situation is different, they're incompetence made your vibration because it didn't vibrate before!
