Do you experience vibration and rumbling between 50 and 70 mph?

Mine comes back at 85mph and is worse lol
Great! Just keep it between 80 and 85 at all times and you'll be fine...

All....How about if someone or Ford can put a few of these vehicles on a chassis dyno somewhere and see if that helps to pinpoint the issue???? Drive train vs. front end anyway.

JUBEN claims the "fix" for the vibration is a new differential. If this truly is the real solution, then it sort of makes sense. (note: he has an ecoboost, automatic PP vehicle.)

Juben, please report back after 2000, 3000 miles, etc. to update everyone if the vibration has remain fixed.

Now I want to see a cross section of the differential being used on this car.

I have a PP with 3:73, and I have vibration at higher RPMS, and speed and in 5th gear mostly.

Went back to dealership yesterday. Gave another manager from the service department a ride and let him drive. He agreed with me there is some sort of vibration/feedback at 60 on my car. We went and got another car off the lot and drove it. This car actually did the same thibg but worse not goingnaway like mine and carrying to 75. So dealership says they can do nothing until ford issues a tsb.

BV600...Bad news / Good news!! The dealerships are going to have to push Ford on this along with the customer to get anywhere!!

Ironic as hell isn't it? Henry Ford was the pioneer of mass production, yet every Mustang seems to have its own unique defects. According to my poll at the top of this thread, 60% of the cars don't seem to have this problem at all. Same with panel alignment issues; some are perfect, some are inexcusably bad. Perhaps Ford decided that mass production was overrated, and now each Mustang is lovingly crafted by hand using only sharpened stones and duct tape?

The sad thing about this is I LOVE driving this car. It is, without a doubt, one of the most enjoyable cars I have ever owned, but Ford really needs to fix this issue soon. I actually went and looked at scat pack Challenger the other day and came very close to taking the loss on my car and driving it away. My last SRT8 was trouble-free the 3 years I had it.

Has anyone tried to determine if this problem is something unique to the PP with the Torsen differential?

There can be many reasons why there are some cars that are trouble free and others that have a variety of different issues. The two main factors are supplier parts quality and of course assembly quality. If a supplier delivers defective parts to Ford, then of course that causes a problem - that's why it's important for Ford or any other company that vendor supplied parts are quality checked somehow before received and used in production. And if the cars are carelessly assembled (by robots or humans) then you get issues like bad panel alignments, etc. To help mitigate the assembly factors, a car manufacturer needs to have processes in place that helps reduce the likely hood of sloppy fitting parts etc.

This issue is not unique to the PP with the Torsen. My GT has the 3.55 and also has this issue.

Mine was a V6 with Auto......look at the survey record! I still think someone or Ford needs to put these defective vehicles on a chassis dyno and check them out to at least potentially determine if vibration & noise origin is drive train or front chassis related.

UPDATE:I had my drive shaft replaced last Tuesday, went for a ride with the shop foremen and there was no difference. So they kept the car and road force balanced the tires. They found a bad tire and rim, ordered and replaced them and I picked up the car on Thursday. Drove it home and there was no difference. As i said before I am a Auto Tech,I had the car in my shop up on the lift and the paint marks were not lined up on the drive shaft and the pinion flange(180 off) so I reinstalled the drive shaft with the paint marks lined up, although they did not line up perfect like on the original drive shaft I put them as close as possible. Took it for a ride and it is much, much better, maybe fixed, if not it is 90% better. No noise, hard to tell if the vibration is totally gone until I put some more miles on it, but definitely much better.I will update again next week. Thanks for all your posts,Bill

^^^ So it does sound like a drive shaft balance problem. From what you said above, it sounds like there are paint marks from the factory on the drive shaft and matching marks on the tranny and differential shafts?

I didnt see any paint marks on the front of the drive shaft. There are paint marks on the rear drive shaft and on the pinion flange on the differential that should be lined up. See post # 86 for pics.
