Just heard from Ford cust rep. Said she talked to the dealership and that the car is driving within all normal tolerances. I informed her that that is not acceptable. When she stated that the dealership told her that they test drove other cars from the lot and they were the same, I stated that it just is proving there is a issue with the model line. Looking for another dealer in the area that will take this a little more seriously and work to get this resolved.

I had dropped off my 16' GT yesterday. I told the service advisor everything I knew about the vibration issue I was experiencing that I had learned here. After the usual balancing of the tires they tried a few other things and ultimately decided the driveshaft is the problem.
They put temporary clamps on my driveshaft and after a few tries getting the weight position correct, I can say that my car doesn't have the vibration any longer. A new driveshaft is on order but no pinion flange so I am cautiously optimistic.

Has anybody tried to record the driveshaft vibrate or lifted the car up and then running it to the speeds that the vibration is starting?
It may be possible to see the driveshaft moving up and down.

Today, I talked to a tech at a well know drivetrain shop. I was trying to get some information on mustang vibrating between 50 - 70. I told him what was going on with mine and what has been changed and the results. He told me that I'm not alone. He has received several call from people like me just wanting to fix their car. The diagnosis that he gave me was that some of the Mustangs just have a harmonic problem. No one has stumbled on what it causing it. He said it could be related to the driveshaft, center support, flange, ring and pinion, transmission, and so on. May be Ford knows what's going on and how to fix it, or may be not. They are selling defective car though, and know it.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a dealer in the Orlando area that is fixing, or at least putting in a good effort to rectify the vibration issue?. The dealer that i bought the car from told Ford that all is within operating limits on my car (pure bs, since the service manager drove the car with me in it and described what was going to happen at each speed as we got on the highway). The Ford CSR is keeping the case opened for 10 days to have me find another dealer for a second opinion. This saga is going to be a real pain in the ass now since the vibration seems to be getting worse since i passed 2000 miles

It may be worthwhile to pay someone to diagnose it. Problem is, parts are going to be hella expensive. But a little balancing and reindexing of a driveshaft by a knowledgeable driveline guy might help some people. Dealer won't do that if they can't get paid for it. I have my appointment for my second try on the 9th.

Got my car back today after 44 days this time and finally an engineer worked on it. They used the hose clamps on the driveshaft to balance the drivetrain. It seem to be good right now. The bad news is that there is white overspray all over the car. Also the seat backs heat up when coolers are on. #myforddealersucks

Everybody knows that when you take your car in for one issue, they fix it but return your car with a different issue. Kinda like software updates.

The "game" is to keep taking your car back until they return it with an issue small enough that you can live with it.

Where'd they do the driveshaft work--in a spray booth?

A sad state of affairs when the car comes back with more issues than when it went in; I'd suggest looking for another dealer to work on your car.

Is there any way in this poll to get the break out the % affected cars by model vs. what appears to be what share of the total they represent?

for example: 290 owners reported no problem. How many EB manual owners reported no problem vs. having a problem.
