Unexpected roll vs Plaid

Pulled up at a light first in line in Mexico today, in the middle lane (3 lane road). Had a model S pull up behind me and get on my bumper. Stayed on my bumper when I rolled out and tried to pass on the left so I gave it the beans in low boost and he went too. Pulled to around 100 and he had me by a bumper. At this point I figured it was a plaid and the driver confirmed when we talked at the next light. I should have assumed it was and put it in high boost but oh well. It was fun and he was cool. I was surprised I kept up so well at 6lbs in a stick shift car. Luckily he was behind me. From a dig it would have been over quick!

I had one go from a line (and a lucid air sapphire once too). Holy shit you don't stop lights to stop light those from a dig. I blew my tires off both times just trying not to fall too far behind. I was impressed with how hard my gt hit from a 30ish roll though. The temps are finally coming down in the southwest!

If he was nice and rolled into the power I could see it being more fair, but yes, I usually agree that a plaid would take a little more than low boost (depending on what we consider low) to get beat. They make about 1000whp, but are heavier, guessing you need at least 850whp. I think most plaids are running low 5s 60-130, which is faster than your average low boost mustang.

Based on my own interactions with the lower level Teslas, gonna hafta agree on the upbadged, cause those things move out…do plaids even have an Eco mode?

Last time I lost to any lower level tesla I was na. Any boosted 5.0 should have no issue with anything lower than a plaid unless you blow the launch.

I don't know what my car does in the 1/4 mile but I can walk away from a stock Hellcat Challenger from a 50 roll.

A Plaid will put a fucking bus or two on me.

Buddy of mine has a newer Model 3 Performance (dual motor awd) and we are fender to fender to 100 and then I start walking away. Edmund's went like 11.1 @ 123 in one of those
