Thanks. Everything was off.
not sure why running power from other car battery didn’t help.
I was going to get a maintainer, but 70 is a lot for one time use.
Don't buy a new battery, your battery is still under warranty.

Buy a good charger/tender, theses car drain the battery just sitting in the garage, especially if you lock the car, this turns on the alarm system. A battery charger/tender is a wise investment and I guarantee that you will use it more than once..

I'm thinking your car went to sleep.

The battery should not have gone dead if it was hooked to another battery, and you did say the other battery was in a running car, correct? Were the cables actually hooked up?

A charger will be the same as a jumped battery.

What tune device are you using that takes 30 min to read?

Might have to get FORscan and make your sleep timer longer.

Yes, it hooked to a running vehicle.

That is strange.

I'd get the battery tested.

When programing the battery tender/charger negative should be hooked to a chaises ground , not the battery .

Ground yes positive OK , better is to go to the battery . The computer systems monitor the negative side of the battery , that is why you want to be hooked to a body ground . So to speak down stream from the sensor

This is why I use the ground screw under the strut tower brace, and NOT the same one the PCM uses as the ground (as shown above).

I also connect the + to the fuse box, not the battery.

The terminal I point out on the fuse panel is directly connected to the battery. No need to go to the battery. Keep it simple.

Good call, Jaime and I'm pretty sure I used the wrong strut ground for the CTEK box, I'll fix that today, t'anks.

Earl: I did replace the PowerPoint relay and reluctantly removed my handcrafted jumper. :-) I saved it though.

Ok . Thanks. I assumed the battery was fully charged as its new and I haven’t driven for a couple weeks.
Uhhh, have not driven in weeks? The battery will be quite low. You can get a battery maintainer for less than $40. If you brick your car you would pay many times that to resolve.

Do it right or don't do it. Flashing the ECU is nothing to trifle with. Also, draining even a new battery below about 11.9 volts is bad ju-ju and will ruin the battery. Car batteries are for starting, not powering the accessories.

I thought the same about "weeks."

Jaime: First, I hope you don't mind if I fail to use the @ moniker all the time, that gets tedious but I know it's helpful. Helpful UNLIKE these irritating forum ads that cause the page to redraw every time one of them changes size/clip. Grrr...

Secondly, I saw this morning that there are two factory grounds on the passenger tower, I hadn't seen the one under the brace before but I'm guessing that one is for the starter?

Anyway can you or anyone confirm or deny whether having my maintainer ground on the other tower ground is the same one as the PCM? As you can see, I used the #1 position but I don't think it would be a major PITB to move those two connections from one to the other.

Muchas gracias,
