Are the Recaro's in the GT500 identical to the GT350R model? I tried out the seats in the GT350R the other night and their too tight a fit for me. I'm hoping that the 500 has more width. Thanks all.

Same seats as the GT350.

Agreed, for my shoulders and hips, it was a very secure fit and would be great for track use, but for day to day I went with the standard seats and the tech package.

I’m 6’ 195lbs and normal build, the Recaro’s seats fit me perfectly. I can and have spent 10hours straight in them and they are as comfortable as I could ask. If you’re carrying a bit more than that, I would go for the standard seats.

I just don't fit, my back is too wide and my thighs are squished. I fit Porsche carbon buckets just fine so it's a bummer.

If your not tracking her imo I would not get them. Same story for me I have owned the GT350 and Focus RS and after an hour or so it’s like get me out of this car it sucks lol.

At 5'9 and 150, I love 'em and so does the better half. If it's cold enough for seat heat, I'll take the truck and I never use the cooling, even down here. (Don't like a cold butt, ifyouknowwhatImeanVern?) :-)
So.... size DOES matter lol.

I absolutely loved the premium seats in my last 2 mustangs. I would (sometimes) use the heated seats on the lowest setting, but I never once used the cooling, as I don't like the feeling. The seats are very, very comfortable.

I went with Recaro this time, as I think they better match the aggressiveness I love so much with this car. I am a whopping 5'5" and 160lbs. I know most of you are not this massive, don't be jealous.

Back to my opinion.... if you fit, you must admit.... the Recaro are pretty great. I don't miss the power settings either. I find them very comfortable.

So, if your bigger than me (crazy right?), test your ass in a GT350 to see of you like them.

At 6'2 and 220, I opted for the normal seats. Sat in a GT 500 with Recaro's and felt like I was sitting on them...… Not looking for a barco lounger but looking for the right fit.

Same here, I went with the standard seats. Didn't want to take the chance that I wouldn't fit and then what do you do??? Your stuck with something that is not comfortable. For that reason I went with the standard seats.

I am right in there with Kent and Jamie, 5' 8, 155 and I have loved the Recaro's in my RS for the last 3+ years. Maybe the Shelby Recaro is probably a bit different in shape, but I am pretty sure it won't be tighter than the one in the Focus. While I will not miss the power adjustments and power lumbar, I do want the heated function. The car is always garaged but sometimes when I am out and it is cold, the warmth on my old back feels really good. Installing seat heaters in the Recaro's will be one of the first things I will do. Not sure why in the RS the Recaro's have heat and full power and the GT500 are completely manual but probably to save weight.

I feel the GT500 Recaro's are slightly wide than my sons Focus RS.

I was going to mention that sops can add heated seats pretty easily, for those that must have it.

Yah, pretty silly they can't include power and at least heat to the Recaro, especially when you pay more to get less options.

Yes I installed seat heaters in my ‘11 Ranger and also in the rear seats of my ‘14 Escape. Not that difficult, just time consuming. I don’t understand why in the GT350 Recaro’s are standard and the sport seats with power, heated and cooling are extra and it’s the opposite in the GT500.

I went with the regular seats because I liked the fact that they were leather for easy cleaning and I love the power memory setting and heaters that are similar to my Raptor. Not planning on tracking it, and the Recaros feel fine to me at 5’10” and 175, but the surface, power setting and seat heater are what made me choose regular. Mind you, the regular seats also have plenty of bolster and are super comfortable. Also cheaper, lol

No doubt it is.

My question however is, how do you heat Recaros? Guess I should do some searching...

OK, did that and saw the aftermarket offerings. If the controls were there, I might think about it but without them, I don't think it's worth it in South Texas anyway.
