So I happen to stumble onto YouTube today and found "Speed Phenom's" video dated August 21st, 2019. He was talking about the 2019 "R" car and was saying that he bet it didn't have any "resonators" as it was pretty loud. Now, I hope I haven't screwed this up because this particular video and hops in and out of several different cars. I like this kid alot and he's fun to watch but everytime I see him he looks like he's still in 6th grade. LOL Anyway, does anyone know much about the Resonators on our cars and can they be "safely removed" for a louder and more throaty sound???? Iam probably one of the few old duffers here that actually would like to make the exhaust sound louder. That is as long as I don't screw up our $90 to $110K cars. Definiitely don't want to do that. Would love to hear if anyone is an expert on resonators.

There will be mid pipe, x/h pipe and resonator delete kits within about a week after we start taking deliveries

Which "kit" will be the loudest VOODOO???? I want to wake up my nosy neighbors at 5:30AM and rattle the false teeth out of their head. LOL Will those delete kits be available from Ford Performance???

doubtful from FP. I think we already discussed X is higher pitched, H is deeper. plenty of companies will offer it. Im likely going to stick with stock rear as i like the adjust-ability.

Interesting read. It's probably already been posted, but it seemed appropriate to this conversation.

How Ford Made the Mustang Shelby GT500 the Right Kind of Loud

The soon-to-arrive GT500 had the opposite problem. A supercharged, 5.2-liter cross-plane V-8 generates a lot of secondary harmonics. NVH teams control the noise that comes off an engines in four ways: exhaust, intake, air and body structure. While sound deadening can kill a lot of the secondary harmonics of the last three categories, a cross-plane V-8 wants to send a lot of sound through the exhaust.

One of the ways to counteract this is by allowing "crosstalk" between the two cylinder banks, via an X-shaped or H-shaped segment of the exhaust system. Primary harmonics arrive at this junction simultaneously, allowing their energy to combine and continue down the exhaust system. Secondary harmonics, however, tend to cancel each other out, due to their lower energy sound waves and their staggered arrival at the crossover.

Should unwanted noise continue past the intersection, NVH teams can also add exhaust resonators. Simply put, a resonator is a perforated tube within a larger tube, designed to allow certain sound frequencies to pass through while canceling out other, unwanted sound waves. The perforations also generate friction, which scrubs energy and helps reduce unpleasant high-frequency sounds.

With 4 exhaust mode settings I totally agree that putting one of these bad boys in the loudest mode which is the Track Mode that should do it for pretty all of us!

Is there any "Possibility" of doing a video at some point down the road comparing the "Track Mode Sound" against your fine "Resonator Delete X-Pipe" product??? Would love to hear the sound difference if its possible. Thank You very much for bringing your excellent product to our attention. Iam very much interested.
As soon as we have our car we'll be doing the comparisons as well as installing a whole bunch of other products we have in development.

What is the power increase from the resonator delete? Generally speaking? Is it that restrictive or just a noise thing.

I think I’d keep the resonators and remove the cats. Is the exhaust 2.75” like the GT 350 or is it 3”?
