Is that why you keep changing your avatar picture?
Probably. <laughing> I just love images and when you give me a chance to mess with one like an avatar, I go for it every time.

Nice truck though. Looks like a gasser?
Actually, the truck is an '18 SD KR 6.7.

The 2015 up 6.7 power strokes are great trucks! They tow great. Also the 2020 trucks will have more power!

How about "Hooker Headers"????
Heck yeah I remember Hooker Headers. Back then, I couldn't afford 'em but I WANTED 'em. :-)

But dear Lord what a difference a few decades can make in vehicle technology! I thought my rebuilt '69 340 'Cuda was fast but it wouldn't even be fair to run it against my '14 Shelby let alone the new one. Just amazing to me.

Keller: I dearly loved my 2005 SD and it gave me zero trouble over thirteen years. BUT, I REALLY LOVE the new truck and that engine, OMG what a huge difference. It's darn near as quiet as the wife's Caddy and holy smoke is it powerful. :-)

Yes sir.
I am a Power Stroke diesel mechanic so I work on the 7.3, 6.0, 6.4 & 6.7 almost every day.
The 6.4 in stock form in the worst one out of the four.

And my semi-new SD is the same color as your GT! I even call her, "Ruby." :-)

I occasionally heard negative comments about the 6.0 I had in my '05, but other than a fractured turbocharger hose clamp, I never had an issue. UNfortunately, I was on the highway when that happened but FORtunately, I was in a convoy with other vehicles to go to the nearby Ford dealership. They were just closing, too but we got all new clamps. Ran like a champ from then on.

I am "only" 48 but I sure remember Hooker Headers, Rush, Thrush, Cherry Bomb and my favorite, Glass Packs! My ultimate favorite combination on my 1967 Mustang was Headman headers and glass packs.

I can chime in on the Super Duties as well. I am a Captain on my fire department and all our non fire trucks are Ford and I have driven every incarnation of them, besides owning many myself. I have since been driving a 2019 Ranger and I freaking love it, but my last "man truck" was a 2017 Lariat diesel and it was maybe my favorite of all my full sized trucks.

The 6.0 weren’t that bad, you just can’t treat them like a 7.3 and get away with it.

What is the power increase from the resonator delete? Generally speaking? Is it that restrictive or just a noise thing.
We've seen no power gain by removing the resonators. It's mainly a sound thing. On the GT350 it's basically what makes the exhaust on an R sound way more aggressive than the non R.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Jared

Sorry guys but unless there is power to be made I am out, now if the car was quiet to begin with, then yeah I might consider it, but to be loud to just be loud is not my thing. generally i have added resonators to tame down some nasty loud, again resonator adding and deleting have there place, so not knocking it just saying......
