This will be no help but anytime I flash using an SCT device my trans flares on the 3 > 4 shift.

It is a 6R and it happens with my mustang and my F150. SCT says there is nothing wrong with my X4. If I flash the exact same tune with HP tuners there is no flare. Same with PCMtec.

The solenoid current vs pressure relationship is defined in the tune. I did some random checks and everything I found from 2018 to 2020 was the same, but in 2021 it was different. I checked Roush, F-150, and GT for comparison and they were all the same.

With Roush, you are stuck with their RDT tool. I don't recall having this issue with the initial tune. The subsequent ones yes.

I believe amps. I was actually going to suggest playing with that table to force it to engage harder but that’s truly the brute force method.
I guess you can graph it to see how linear it is. Also a bit risky without knowing the max amperage and pressure, unless the last frame is max.

Modifying that table is last resort. I’d try at least 3 other things first.

By the way, in normal mode the shifts are flawless. The throttle response and short shifts suck!
Go full on manual mode then. Fascinating read. However
The more I read the more it seems auto trans were created to justify the engineering team. Talk about making something 1000 times more complicated than it needs to be.

I'll be over here grinding gears with fully adaptive mode residing between my ears. 😋

I built many a Mopar A727B trans. It shifted hard and took everything I could throw at it, including 800lb ft stroker with just a few valve body mods, good clutches and upgraded high drum.

I'd have to look it up. The last one was done last summer. I have a new one I haven't installed yet.
