Agreed. I could not get out of that stealership quick enough.
I would have run too.

John - this is certainly concerning and disappointing, not to mention a total headache to deal with. Would you mind posting up your engine builder and build / production dates? I think mine (#L2100) might have been built around the same time in June. Thanks, Mike
Hey Mike, all you have to do is when you have time, put it on jack stands or a lift and verify the bolts are seated and torqued correctly. It took me a half hour and it certainly gives me piece of mind. I plan to remove the bolts and have orange permatex thread locker installed. I'll have my tech do it when I send her in for the brake recall.

Hey Mike, sure no problem.

L2269 built 7/2/2020. Javo built my engine. However, this isn’t on him. It’s my understanding that he’s an expert. This was done on the line.

Purchased a trailer this week. One wrecker experience is enough for me. Loaded and headed to Jim Hodge Ford. Fingers crossed they pan out.

My favorite thing from the “high volume dealer” in town.

Service Adviser: So, where’s the bolt? Do you have it?
Actually, I would have asked the same question. Having the bolt to see it was the correct one, remnant threads from being cross threaded, etc. If it’s gone, oh well.
But having that piece of evidence might have been useful.

I like to disassemble things.

Obviously it would have been useful.

The point is that the question was asked after it was explained what happened, I believe.

Keep in mind the engine builder would not have been the one installing this.

Ahh got it. Just curious if there's any correlation between the issue and production timelines. Thanks, Mike

As I walk my neighborhood a few times a week, I manage to collect quite a few nuts, bolts and washers for my collection. Always wonder where they come from....
If I find one in my garage or driveway, it drives me nuts until I find it’s home.

But back to the topic. Service writers will tell you they have people show up at the drive through with a bolt in hand they found on the garage floor and wonder if it fell off their car?
Always amazed me how much FOD the crew chiefs found on the flight line everyday. Didn’t want to ask where it came from....

Ok the guys at James Hodge Ford seem real cool. Charlie has been there since 1983, almost as long as I’ve been alive, and will be the only one touching my car. Said he will take his time and will make it 100% right. It will stay inside the whole time. Now the wait begins.

Yes, this exactly.

Everything he said and the way he said it lead me to believe I was on the wrong place. Left with a very bad taste in my mouth.

You made the right decision. And I thought all the people from OK were the salt of the earth......
