Top speed limited to 125mph?

I have a 2021 GT Premium performance package 401a digital dash etc.
Tops out at 125. What gives? Some people say their Stang goes way higher.
Did ford selectively put a speed limiter on these cars?
Is this normal?

Looks like one limiter is set to 158 and another at 186. It should go faster than 125.

No. My 17 when it was bone stock limited to factory 166 mph. Confirmed.

I have heard the 10 auto is limited to 155. I haven't tried it *yet*. Hit triple digits a few times just running thru the gears unintentionally while I was testing traction on my new tires. Like looked down and was like "WHOA, how did I get there that fast, better slow down". Going to a track the end of April, might be able to get a little faster, don't know its a short track.

interesting. i've suspected all manual coyote cars can go faster than autos but the documentation is less than clear.

The number I’ve seen most repeated is. 155 for the slush box and 168 for the handshaker. I’m willing to verify if we can get a gofundme set up to pay the vig if I run into Johnny long arm while doing so.

I've hit 146 with my 17 and 6sp manual before I had to back off. I've also hit 138 in my 5000 lb plus explorer ST with a 10 speed.

Did 135 in my 20 GT Premium PP1, manual, with a lot more to go, but was running out of road. I've heard 155, but I have all intentions of seeing how much more there is.

What happened when you hit 125? Did the engine all of a sudden hit a rev limiter and power was cut?
